UAE Denies Entry Of Indian Passengers Through Air India Under Vande Bharat Mission

On the other hand, the United Arab Emirates has denied Air India limited to carry passengers to the country from India unless specifically approved by the government of UAE.

The General Civil Aviation Authority of United Arab Emirates (UAE) has issued guidelines regarding the same wearing repatriation flights that haven’t been given permission.

As per reports, all the passengers including internationals will now need specific approvals from the UAE embassy in New Delhi and UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. This is in addition to the valid residency permit or work permit, and have approvals from UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) or Dubai’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA)

This has happened just too few days after the US accused the Indian government of being involved in discriminatory and restrictive practices bi excluding us airlines from the vande Bharat mission to repatriate Indians from the US. This was followed by suspension of repatriation flights by Air India from India to the US without the latter’s prior permission.
