BSNL Invites Private Players To Take Part In Expansion Of Bharat Fiber Service

The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited launched the BSNL Bharat Fiber service way back in 2019 however it failed to expand its scope much.

In order to expand the internet services the operator has now inverter private players in multiple States under the pretext of a new business opportunity. 

Nagella Trinath, who is the deputy manager of marketing at BSNL took to Twitter to announce this new business opportunity with the help of an advertisement. 

Which Cities Are Covered?

The ad states that the BSNL Hyderabad telecom district will be inviting business partners to offer customers with high speed broadband services and also install fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) services. This will be done through a revenue sharing agreement with BSNL. 

As per reports, the Tamilnadu circle has also invited franchise players to be a part of the Bharat Fiber Services as a new business opportunity for which there will be a 50-50 revenue share agreement.

As per reports BSNL has already expanded its Bharat Fiber Service 211 new cities which include Salem, Namakkal, Mettur, Yercaud, Omalur, Sankagiri, Tiruchengode, Attur, Valapady, Rasipuram, and Velur.

Also, BSNL has officially announced that the Bharat Fiber service is to be made available in 96 cities throughout the country along with the 11 cities where it was initially launched.

The Andhra Pradesh circle of BSNL is also issued many tenders Sanstha made of May for the maintenance of its FTTH connections across several cities in the region. BSNL has also come up with the list of responsibilities that it would be shoulder by private players who will take part. This includes maintaining FTTH equipment and also the other network infrastructure that goes up to the premises of the consumers. 

In addition to that, BSNL asks that the faults that are being conveyed by the users should be cleared within 12 hours of a report from the telecom operator.

The plans that the BSNL Bharat Fiber Service offers in Tamilnadu range between Rs. 499 and Rs. 1999.
