Paytm’s Postpaid Service To Join Hands With Offline Grocery And Retail Stores

There have been plenty of firms and organizations looking to create a foothold in the grocery stores, and online retail shops, including Reliance JioMart, Zomato, Swiggy, and so on.

Next in line is digital payments firm, Paytm. The company plans to join hands with the offline retail stores and Kirana shops so that people will no longer need actual cash to buy essential goods that run the household.

Amit Nayyar, President at Paytm confirmed the news, saying, “Paytm Postpaid is our mission to provide access to credit to every Paytm user…We are excited to expand this service for payments at kirana and online stores that play an important role in the whole neighbourhood and online shopping experience. We will keep expanding the offering to include more and more Paytm users.”

Paytm’s PostPaid Service To Help Users Be Independent Of Cash 

As per reports, Paytm’s ‘Postpaid’ service will enable users to buy everything from groceries and milk to any other essential products they need from their nearby Kirana stores. This service will also be available for the other retail stores as well, such as Reliance Fresh, Haldiram, Apollo Pharmacy, Croma, Shoppers Stop, etc. 

The service has already been extended to bill payments facilities, shopping on the Paytm Mall, and also for payments at various apps, such as Domino’s, Tata Sky, Pepperfry, HungerBox, Patanjali, Spencer’s, and many others as well.

Paytm has recently increased the credit limit for PostPaid products, from Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 1,00,000. The company also plans to launch three new variants of the PostPaid service that will depend on the credit limit – Lite, Delite, and Elite.

As of now, the number of users who can use the Paytm Postpaid is less, but it will soon be extended towards 4 million more customers soon.
