Apple Enables Customers To Order Customized Versions Of iMac, MacBook Air, Mac Mini, Etc.
Leading electronic manufacturer, Apple, has now enabled its customers to order customized versions of their favorite products. The company, based in Cupertino, has started to offer the full range of the Mac portfolio with the configure-to-order or build-to-order option in India. This means that the customer can customize the specifications of the product that they want to buy.
These specifications can be additional memory, storage, or a more powerful graphics card, etc.
Previously, the customers were offered only specific variants of its Mac computers in India, and no other options of customization or specific upgrades were made available to them.
As per reports, the customers in India have been asking for this feature for a long time, which makes sense as Apple has introduced this facility in multiple other countries already. The fact that the market in India is a key overseas market for all American technology giants might have directed Apple to enable users to order customized products.
Apple To Deliver Customized Computers In Four To Five Weeks
As per reports, Apple has committed to delivering customized computers within four to five weeks of placing the order.
Preshit Deorukhkar, an executive based in Mumbai who tracks Apple’s developments, said, “Previously, there was no real way to get a built-to-order or configure-to-order Mac in India. So you were stuck with the base models — say a Mac Mini or 13? MacBook Pro with 8GB of RAM. Now that the company is officially offering this, you get the computer you want and the standard warranty on it.”
