Redmi Note 9 India Variant To Launch Soon, Spotted: Price, Specs, Launch Details And More
Redmi Note 9 has been spotted on WiFi Alliance, hinting at an India launch soon. Unveiled in China on April 30, India is yet to get the Redmi Note 9. Xiaomi in India launched two smartphones under Redmi Note 9 series: Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max.
The company could bring the budget Redmi Note 9 in India at around Rs 12,000.
Redmi Note 9 was also recently found on Xiaomi India’s website. Spotted by 91mobiles, the Redmi Note 9 Indian variant is now found in the Wi-Fi Alliance database. The WiFi Alliance listing also revealed Android 10 OS and dual-band Wi-Fi connection.

Redmi Note 9 features a 6.53-inch IPS LCD Full HD+ display with a punch-hole cutout upfront, but on the corner unlike the Redmi Note 9 series. Redmi Note 9 is powered by Helio G85 chipset, the first smartphone to run on the new MediaTek chip. At the back, Redmi Note 9 packs square shaped quad camera design.
The four camera setup on Redmi Note 9 sports a primary 48-megapixel sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 2-megapixel depth camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
Redmi Note 9 runs on Android 10 with MIUI 11 on top. Redmi Note 9 houses a 5,020mAh battery as Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max with support for 18W fast charging. The 18W fast charger will ship with the device.

Redmi Note 9 has been unveiled in China. The device will come to India soon to join the already unveiled Redmi Note 9 series. The WiFi Alliance certification hints at an imminent launch, expected in India in a few weeks from now.
Redmi Note 9 launch in India could happen sometime in June. The device was launched initially in China on April 30.

Redmi Note 9 price in India is expected to start around Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000. The recent GST hike on mobiles may not let the device be priced under Rs 10,000 in India. Xiaomi just hiked Redmi Note 8, Redmi 8 and Redmi 8A Dual again.
Redmi Note 8 was launched starting at Rs 9,999, and now it starts at Rs 11,499, a Rs 1,500 jump.
So, the successor Redmi Note 9 India price may start somewhere close to it, could either be Rs 11,999 or Rs 12,499 for the base model.
