Redmi K30 5G Extreme Edition launched as the world’s first 5G smartphone running on the brand new Snapdragon 786G. Redmi K30 5G Extreme ??Edition is a toned-up Redmi K30 offering some top features with 5G capabilities on a budget.
Redmi K30 5G Extreme Edition runs on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G SoC.
According to Qualcomm, Snapdragon 786G offers 15 percent faster CPU and GPU performance compared to the budget Snapdragon 765G 5G chip. Snapdragon 765G is also the first Snapdragon 700 series chip to offer updateable graphic drivers.
Redmi K30 5G Extreme Edition Specs, Features
Redmi K30 5G Extreme ??Edition comes with similar specifications as the original Redmi K30 without the Snapdragon 765G. The design remains the same, so the dual-punch hole cutout on the top right corner to circular ring at the back with vertically aligned quad cameras.
Redmi K30 5G Extreme Edition features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ display offering 120Hz refresh rate in an 20:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone comes with dual hole-punch cameras upfront with curved edges on the sides.
It’s not a AMOLED panel, and operates at 1080 × 2400 pixels. Both the sides, front and back are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Coming to optics, Redmi K30 5G Extreme Edition features a rear quad camera setup. The four cameras at the back include the brand new 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor, the successor to the popular 48MP Sony IMX586.
The primary Sony 64MP IMX686 sensor is further supported by a 2-megapixel camera, a 5-megapixel sensor, and an 8-megapixel wide angle camera.
Upfront, Redmi K30 5G Extreme Edition flaunts a dual selfie camera setup inside the capsule shaped punch-hole sporting a 20-megapixel front-facing primary sensor coupled with a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
The smartphone features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Redmi K30 5G Extreme Edition price starts at RMB 1,999 (around Rs 21,400). Redmi K30 5G Extreme Edition comes in four different colour combinations: White, Blue, Purple, and Mint colour options.
K30 5G Extreme Edition will be available in China starting May 14 via JD.com.
Redmi K30 5G Extreme Edition India launch will probably not happen given the original was launched as a rebranded Poco X2. Poco may choose to upgrade Poco X2 with a 5G successor, though we are yet to have 5G connectivity in the country.
