After allowing trains to run from May 12th, Govt may soon announce flights as well, and that can be as soon as May 18th.

Although no official reports have come in, but it’s being speculated that flights will be allowed very soon, to kickstart the economy.

As per reports coming in, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security and Directorate General of Civil Aviation officials visited all major airports in India, and conducted checks to ensure that they can be operated or not.

This gives a strong signal that flights can be resumed very soon.

Some insiders that stating that flights can be asked to resume by May 18th.

All major Airlines have declared that they are fully prepared to resume flight, and they are expecting a decision shortly.

Share prices of SpiceJet and Indigo surged on Monday, due to this news, as investors are now more confident about resuming the flights, and subsequently the economy. 

Flights Can Resume: What Are The New Rules?

As per the reports, in the first phase, 25% of the flights connecting major cities will be resumed, and then it will be gradually increased.

All passengers should have the Aarohya Setu app, and there will be no meals provided for short distance flights. Infact, one reports states that for all flights having travel duration of less than 2 hours, there will be no meal provided.

Aarogya Setu app has also been asked for all train passengers, but it wont be mandatory for them.

Passengers can be asked to arrive at the airport atleast 2 hours before the flight in order to have a thorough checkup.

Any passenger found with symptoms of coronavirus will not be allowed to board.
