Poco has officially teased the next Poco phone indirectly. The teaser says #WakeUpPoco in a GIF teaser via it’s official Twitter handle. The teaser has some screenshots of fans asking about when Poco F2 is coming, so there’s the direct reference.

The company has been in a hibernation mode since 2018 until finally it unveiled Poco X2 a few weeks back.

There have been multiple reports of Redmi K30 Pro being rebranded as Poco F2 Pro as the Redmi K30 4G was launched in India as Poco X2. The latest teaser could be a hint for the rumour mill.

Without giving out the name, the company has hinted at their next upcoming phone, which could be either Poco F2 Pro, Poco F2 or Poco X2 Pro. Leaving what it will be called, now it’s for sure that the next Poco device is coming really soon, and it could be a few weeks from now only.

Rebranded Redmi K30 Pro: Poco X2 Pro / Poco F2 Pro?

Redmi K30 Pro 4G will come as Poco F2 Pro in India and other markets, as now been confirmed again with the TKDN Indonesian listing. In India, Redmi K30 Pro 4G will either be called Poco X2 Pro or Poco F2 Pro.

XDADevelopers also tipped that Redmi K30 Pro will come as a rebranded Poco F2 Pro as the successor to Redmi K20 Pro. 

It was spotted in the Google Mobile Services shows ‘lmi’ codename for the Redmi K30 Pro 4G. The 4G variant of K30 Pro will come as Poco F2 Pro in India and some other regions.

So, Poco F2 Pro is going to be a rebranded Redmi K30 Pro 4G, as now seems to be confirmed with so many sources. 

Also, to support the recent leak, the Redmi K30 Pro 3C certification listing revealed a model number of M2001J11C. The latest listing reveals the Poco device with model number M2004J11G, and it hints at being a rebranded Redmi K30 Pro.

Poco F2 Pro Price Leak: Leaked Specs Hint At Redmi K30 Pro

Leaked Poco F2 Pro price gives us a starting price of €649 for the European variant. Leaked by Portuguese site 4gnews, Poco F2 Pro price in Europe will start at €649 (around Rs 53,550) for the base model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.

The top-end Poco F2 Pro will come with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage at €749 (around Rs 61,800).

The Portuguese site mentions that the prices of Poco F2 Pro across other European countries will be much lower as Portugal charges ‘private copy fee’ on imposed products.

The site also revealed Poco F2 Pro specifications which again matches up Redmi K30 Pro. Poco F2 Pro will come with a 6.67-inch AMOLED Full HD+ display with refresh rate of 60Hz. The Poco device is said to be powered by Snapdragon 865 with up to 8GB RAM and 256 storage.

Coming to optics, Poco F2 Pro will have a 20-megapixel pop-up camera and a quad rear camera setup featuring a 64-megapixel primary lens, a 13-megapixel wide angle lens, a 5-megapixel telephoto lens and a 2-megapixel macro lens.

The Portuguese report further reveals that Poco F2 Pro will house a 4,700mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. It will also feature support for NFC, 3.5mm jack input and Wi-Fi 6.

The report clearly hinted at Poco F2 Pro being a rebranded version of the already unveiled Redmi K30 Pro 4G. While Xiaomi is yet to confirm anything officially, things fall in pretty much within the equation.

The new Redmi K30 Pro 4G can actually be termed a flagship killer. With the same pop-up camera notch-less design, the K30 Pro packs in almost all the best of technology available.

The upcoming Poco F2 Pro will have the similar features and specifications.

Design, Display

Redmi K30 Pro comes with a pop-up selfie camera design featuring a 6.67-inch Full HD+ notchless Super AMOLED display. It’s a HDR10+ certified display on K30 Pro offering 1200 nits of peak brightness with a 5000000:1 contrast ratio. Poco F2 Pro will feature the same.

Redmi K30 Pro comes with a touch sampling rate of 180Hz but only supports 60Hz refresh rate with an in-display fingerprint scanner embedded beneath. 

Hardware, Storage

Redmi K30 Pro is powered by the latest Qualcomm flagship chip. It’s the 2.84GHz octa-core Snapdragon 865 SoC and it pairs with a 5G modem and up to 8GB LPDDR5 RAM. The smartphone will be available with up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

Poco F2 Pro will have 4G only, and not support 5G capabilities.

Redmi K30 Pro as the predecessor will focus on gaming again, and the handset has been claimed to have the largest vapour chamber (VC).

K30 Pro will offer high-end liquid cooling to dissipate heat during hardcore extended gaming sessions keeping its temperature at the lowest.

Software, UI

Redmi K30 Pro runs on the latest Android 10 with MIUI 11 out-of-the-box. Poco F2 Pro will come with a special Poco launcher on top. 

The UI comes loaded with features and bloatware, and delivers a clean performance as any other non-stock device.

There’s Android 10 on both, so you don’t have to worry about anything in terms of the latest updates.

Cameras

Coming to optics, Redmi K30 Pro sports a quad camera setup at the back featuring a 64MP Sony IMX686 primary sensor with OIS, a 5MP macro lens, a 13MP wide-angle lens with 123-degree field-of-view, and a 2MP depth sensor.

The special Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition features a similar setup but with 8MP telephoto lens with OIS and 30x zoom support instead of the 5MP macro sensor.

Poco F2 Pro will not come with the Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition features it seems.

The cameras have Xiaomi’s AI, EIS, and 8K video recording. Upfront, Redmi K30 Pro has a 20MP shooter inside the pop-up camera.

Battery, Fast Charging

Finally, coming to the battery, Redmi K30 Pro and the Zoom Edition house a 4,700mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. The device will ship with the 33W fast charger in the box. Poco F2 Pro will have the same.

The device can easily run for more than a day on a single charge.

Xiaomi India will go with a 4G model of Redmi K30 Pro for the Rebranded Poco F2 Pro in India and some other markets as it did with Poco X2 (rebranded Redmi K30), which may let Redmi K30 Pro India price start at under Rs 30,000.

Poco F2 Pro Launch In India, Poco F2 Pro Launch, Availability

Poco F2 Pro launch may happen in June or July. It’s definite that Poco F2 Pro is going to be a rebranded Redmi K30 Pro. The Poco F2 Pro price in India is expected to start under Rs 30,000. The company just unveiled Mi Note 10 Lite globally, with Mi 10 5G launching in India o May 8.

Poco F2 Pro launch will happen initially in India and then in Global markets, or at the same time given the current situation.

Poco F2 Pro in India will be available via Flipkart and Mi.com with offline availability expected later at Mi Home Stores and Mi Preferred outlets.
