The New iPhone SE 2 to be Launched Soon!

The official marketing name for the new iPhone will simply be iPhone SE with Apple citing it as the 2020 version, as reported by 9to5Mac. This naming is inclined to the first-gen iPhone SE from 2016 and can be seen as the common practice in Apple’s naming policy.

The company is offering consumers with older iPhones a cheaper upgrade option than the iPhone 11. 

According to a 9to5Mac tipster, Apple is rumoured to start taking orders for the iPhone SE 2 soon.  If it does launch sales now, it will only be available online, given all Apple retail stores outside China are  closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  

In addition, a screen protector listed on Apple’s official online store also confirms the iPhone SE 2 smartphone and is set to fit iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 models!

All the Specs We Know About the iPhone SE!

There are also rumors about an alleged 5.5-inch version of the new iPhone SE but we don’t get any new info on this model. The screen protector compatible with iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 confirms that the iPhone SE will likely have a 4.7 inch display.

 Earlier speculations stated the phone will only be offered in 64GB or 128GB trims. The new iPhone SE will be offered with up to 256GB storage as well. 

Additionally, the new budget iPhone will sport black, white and red colors. Along with that the five official Apple cases for the device include black and white silicone cases alongside red, black and midnight blue leather options.

The new iPhone SE will likely have the same design as the iPhone 8, although battery life should be much improved with the removal of 3D Touch, a special feature on older iPhones.

According to the report, the iPhone SE 2 will come with the A13 Bionic chipset, the same chip as the iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Plus. The pricing for the new iPhone SE is expected to start at $399 approximately Rs 30, 000. The iPhone 8 is currently priced at $449 around Rs 34, 000. 

According to a recent speculation, the new iPhone SE is supposed to launch on April 15 but given the new leaks, we might see it go official even sooner.
