After the re-telecast of Ramayana, Mahabharat, Circus, Chanakya and Byomkesh Bakshi, it has been almost confirmed that Shaktimaan too will make a comeback.

As per Mukesh Khanna, who co-created this popular series, and also played the character of superhero Shaktimaan, they are working on a sequel of this cult TV series, since last three years.

Shaktimaan Will Make A Comeback!

On Twitter, he posted a video, wherein he has confirmed that a sequel to Shaktimaan is on the works, and would be telecasted exclusively on DD National channel.

He said, “I feel whenever we return to work after this crisis, I will be in a better position to bring out the second part because the demand for it is higher than ever before,”

A future movie based on Shaktimaan is also on the cards, whereas a 3D animated TV series is being created, whose trailer was launched during last year’s Comic Con.

Shaktimaan was telecasted 1997 to 2005, and attained a cult status among children and teenagers of that era. Mukesh Khanna played the character of “Pandit Gangadhar Vidhyadhar Mayadhar Omkarnath Shastri”, who was actually Shaktimaan, the superhero.

Mukesh Khanna was also the co-producer of this immensely popular and loved TV series.

Citizens Demand These TV Serials Back On Doordarshan

After Ministry of Information and Broadcasting asked Doordarshan to re-telecast popular series such as Ramayana and Mahabharat, citizens are now asking them to r-telecast even more popular series.

Mukesh Khanna’s Shaktimaan remains on the top of the list of serials which are under high demand to be re-telecasted.

Suraag The Clue, a detective TV series on Doordarshan is also being requested by citizens for re-telecasting.  Sudesh Berry played the role of CID Inspector Bharat, as he solve crime cases across India. It was first telecasted in 1999.

Some Twitter users also requested re-telecast of the old Cartoon Network shows on Doordarshan.
