Jio Launches Rs 251 ‘Work From Home Pack’; Get 102 GB For 51 Days, But There’s A Catch

Since the outbreak of coronavirus across India, Govt of India has been pushing for work from home mode for all employees.

It is expected that around 20 lakh employees in India will be working from home now.

In order to help employees, telecom operators have been launching several interesting plans and features.

In the same endeavor, Reliance Jio has now launched a special Work from Home pack.

Jio’s Work From Home Pack

Priced at Rs 251, any existing Jio user can opt for this plan.

Users will be getting 2GB of data per day, for 51 days, under this plan.

However there’s a catch here: There is no SMS or calling bebefits included in the pack.

Hence, the users will be able to receive only 2GB of 4G data, for 51 days under this pack. Once the 102 GB of data is exhausted, users will be able to access data at 64Kbps speed.

Overall, this seems like a good, and solid plan for Jio users, who are expected to work from home. But there should have been some calling benefits as well.

Work From Home Special Plans

Earlier, BSNL had launched free broadband plan for all work from home employees. In this plan, all new and existing BSNL users can opt for free 1 month of high speed broadband, if they choose the copper line wire based landline connection.

Optial fiber users were not eligible for this offer.

After a month of free usage, the selected post-paid plan will be implemented.

Jio too launched some interesting plans to help work from home users last week.

In some plans, Jio users can now get double data benefits.

These plans are: Rs 11, Rs 21, Rs 51 and Rs 101.

Compared to previous data, these plans are now offering double data usage.

ACT Fibernet too offered unlimited data at 300Mbps speed under the same work from home features.

We will keep you updated, as more details come in.
