#Coronavirus Scare: CBSE Class 10th, 12th Board Exam, JEE Mains Cancelled; 85 Cr Kids Out Of School?

After the closure of schools and colleges across India due to coronavirus, it is the turn of exams getting cancelled.

In a related news, WHO has declared that approximate 85 crore kids across the world are out of schools, due to the impact of coronavirus.

CBSE Class 10th, 12th Exams Postponed

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has confirmed that both Class 10th and Class 12th Board exams have been cancelled, for an indefinite period.

The exams were scheduled to happen between March 19th to March 31st.

Now, the CBSE Board will meet on March 31st, and decide the next dates. As of now, it stands cancelled.

CBSE Secretary Anurag Tripathi said, “All ongoing CBSE examinations in India and abroad postponed till 31 March and will be rescheduled thereafter… after an assessment of the situation,” 

All evaluation work across schools have also been cancelled.

JEE Mains Exam Cancelled

Meanwhile JE Mains Exam which was scheduled to happen between April 5th and April 11th has also been cancelled.

The JEE Mains was scheduled to happen between April 5th and April 11th.

An unnamed NTA official said, “The JEE-Main exam has been postponed. The new date will be decided in accordance with the board exams schedule and other competitive exams to ensure there is no clash,”

85 Crore Children Out Of School Due To Coronavirus

Meanwhile UN has announced the severity of the coronavirus, when it comes to the children.

Approximately 85 crore children are right now out of schools, all over the world, due to the massive impact. Schools and colleges are closed in almost every country right now.

United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization informed that due to interrupted learning, several kids may fail in their annual exams, and this can trigger a virtual collapse of the education system.

UN has said that tech companies such as Microsoft and others are enabling Global COVID-19 Education Coalition, with the help of UN, which will attempt to educate children who are missing on class room lessons.
