Coronavirus Positive Woman Escapes By Flight, Train & Risks Everyone; 335 Missing In Punjab

In a sheer case of negligence, and indifference, a coronavirus positive woman from Bengaluru fled the isolation ward, and traveled by train to reach her home in Agra.

This way, she not only risked everyone with coronavirus, but also made herself vulnerable.

Meanwhile 335 Punjabis who had returned from coronavirus-infected countries are missing.

Coronavirus: Bengaluru Women’s Blunder

The 25-year old woman is the wife of IT employee from Bengaluru, who had tested positive. Both husband and wife were placed in quarantine in Bengaluru.

However, once it was confirmed that the husband has coronavirus, the wife panicked, and she fled the isolation ward. Even as her samples were being tested, she took a flight from Bengaluru to Delhi, and then caught a train from Delhi to Agra.

Soon, it was confirmed that she has indeed coronavirus.

When the health officials visited her home in Agra, their family members refused to help the officials and even lied that the woman has returned to Agra.

After DM intervened, the health officials were able to track her, and place under quarantine. All family members in Agra too have been placed under quarantine.

Infact, offcials are now tracking every passenger in her flight from Bengaluru to Delhi, and the rail passengers from Delhi to Agra. Entire Agra Cantt railway station, and New Delhi railway station, along with Delhi Airport, and Bengaluru Airport are being sanitized.

This was a highly irresponsible and naive move by the woman, who fled Bangalore, knowing fully well that she is a carrier of the virus.
