Coronavirus: Infosys Shuts Down Bengaluru Office, Allows Work From Home For All?

IT major Infosys has shut down one of the offices in Bengaluru and asked every employee to work from home.

This is one of the satellite offices of Infosys, and the reason is coronavirus spread.

Earlier,  Dell and Google too had evacuated their offices, and asked all employees to work from home.

However, in case of Infosys, there was no direct case of infection.

Why Infosys Evacuated Office In Bengaluru

As per reports coming in, one of the employees working with Infosys came in close content with a person who has been tested positive for coronavirus.

Hence, to avoid any contamination, and further spread of the virus, Infosys decided to evacuate entire building where that employee worked, and asked all employees from that office to work from home.

Infosys confirmed this, as they said, “Infosys has taken a decision to evacuate one of our satellite buildings as a precautionary measure, as one of our employees had been in contact with an individual with suspected COVID-19,”

Infosys has also informed that work will not be hampered in any case, and there will be no delay in the deliverables, as promised to the clients.
