The Introduction of New Plans in the Jio Portfolio!

The Rs 49 prepaid plan comes with 14 days of validity and offers 2GB of total 4G data. The plan also offers 25 SMSes, unlimited on-net calling, and 250 minutes for off-net outgoing calls with additional benefits including complimentary access to Jio apps. Once the 2GB data gets over, the internet speed gets reduced to 64Kbps.

The Rs 69 pack comes with 14 days of validity period and offers 0.5 GB of data per day (7GB). The plan also offers unlimited on-net calling, 250 minutes for off-net calling, and 25 SMSes with additional benefits including complimentary access to Jio apps.

For those who want daily data benefits or more data than the new Rs 49 prepaid plan you can opt for the Rs 69 prepaid plan from Jio.

Initially, Jio used to have a Rs 49 prepaid recharge plan for the JioPhone that offered 1GB of 4G data, unlimited voice calling and 50 SMSes for 28 days. The pack was replaced by an All-in-One plan of Rs 75 which now comes with 3GB 4G data (0.1GB data per day), unlimited on-net calling, 500 minutes of off-net calling, and 50 SMSes for 28 days.

Jio’s Annual Plan Still the Cheapest Despite Price Hike!

Recently telecom operators like Airtel, Reliance Jio, and Vodafone-Idea increased the price of some of their prepaid plans.

Initially Jio priced its yearly plan at Rs 2,199 but ahead of the new year the plan price was lowered to Rs 2,020 for a limited time period. But as the limited time got over, the company has hiked the price of the annual plan but the benefits remain the same. The unfair thing for the customers is that the telecom operator has increased the price of the plan but reduced the validity period.

Do not that the revised plan comes with 29 days less validity compared to the Rs 2020 plan. The Rs 2,121 prepaid plan offers validity of 336 days. The previous Rs 2,020 plan offered a validity period of 365 days.

The  newly revised Rs 2,121 plan offers 1.5GB data every day, 504GB of data in total with unlimited Jio to Jio voice calling, but provides 12,000 non-Jio minutes to non-Jio calls. Additionally, the plan also provides 100 SMSes per day and access to all Jio apps.

Despite the revisions, Jio provides the cheapest annual prepaid plan as compared to Airtel and Vodafone. Airtel’s annual plan costs Rs 2,398 while Vodafone’s yearly plan is priced at Rs 2,399 both with a validity period of 365 days.

The Airtel annual Rs 2,398 plan provides the users with unlimited calling to both Airtel as well as other network users, 1.5 GB per day, and 100 SMSes per day with a total of  547.5GB of 4G data benefit. Vodafone’s annual Rs 2,399 plan offers the same benefits as Airtel. Vodafone users will get 1.5GB everyday (total 547.5GB data), unlimited calls to all networks, and 100SMSes per day if they opt for this plan.
