What Caused the Kidnapping?

Goutham Kumar hailing from Krishna district is an ethical hacker. According to reports he had been hired by Vimala Kumari to develop a website for her firm six months ago. She had paid Goutham Rs 1.10 lakh.

However, Goutham was not able to complete the project, and when asked about it, he gave some excuses, and asked for more time.

Last week, Vimala asked him to come to Hyderabad and have a meeting. But he again mentioned an excuse saying he missed the bus.

In the fit of rage, Vimala Kumari, her associates Bogaram Chandrakanth Reddy and Nutheti Ram Mohan, went to Vijayawada and kidnapped him the next day.

Aftermath of the Kidnapping!

The trio took Goutham to their office at Uppal and asked him to complete the website development right then. After some time, Goutham said he can’t complete the task. This enraged the Kumari and her associates.

They asked for their money to be returned. They also locked him in a room and assaulted him.

Goutham has his smartphone with him. In a terrified state he shared his location with his brother through WhatsApp. He also informed him about the situation. His brother immediately sent the details to Rachakonda police on their WhatsApp control number 9490617111.

What Kumari and her associates did was unethical and illegal. This issue could have been solved legally, unless there was foul play involved.

Based on the location details, Uppal police rescued Goutham Kumar. A case has been registered against Vimala Kumar and her associates for confinement and physical assault.
