Especially the ones who are not so techie.

Uber Drivers Can Now Earn With Ads On Cars

The cars which are running with Uber have a giant real-estate which is unused: The car itself. The car body, both external and internal can be used for advertisements, and this is precisely what Uber has thought so.

Uber and ad agency CASHurDrive have forged a partnership, which will now allow Uber drivers to earn more money by placing advertisements on their cars.

Both car body wraps and in-car branding will be enabled for Uber drivers, and they can earn money from their cars.

Pavan Vaish, head of central operations, Uber India SA confirmed this development, as he said, “We hope our driver partners will utilise this opportunity and benefit from it. Drivers are pivotal to our business, and we are always looking for new ways to enhance drivers’ earning power and help them get the most of their time on the road,”

We are not exactly sure about the revenue model in this new way to earn money, and also not sure how much revenue cut will Uber take from such deals.

But overall, this seems a nice, and innovative strategy to help Uber drivers earn more, from their existing assets.

Now Book A Ride With A Toll-Free Number

In the US, Uber has initiated a new way to book rides: Users can simply call a toll-free number (1-833-USE-UBER) and book a ride.

However, having a phone is must, since the ride details, driver details etc will be shared by SMS to the user.

This will help the non-techie users of Uber to seamlessly book a ride on Uber, and reach their destination.

This pilot project has been launched in Arizona as of now, and will be soon expanded to other US states.

There is no news of introducing this feature in India as of now.

This brings us back to the pre-Uber days, when a taxi booking meant calling a service provider, and finalizing the ride.
