Oyo Rooms A Big Hit On Valentines’ Day: 90% More Bookings Recorded, Delhi #1 In Renting Oyo

Love is certainly in the air, and Oyo Rooms is the catalyst which is the triggering more love, at least in India.

As per reports coming in, Oyo Rooms managed to record massive 90% more bookings on Valentine’s Day in India, and almost 100% increase in bookings made via apps.

Oyo Rooms has clarified that these bookings were made by families, tourists and couples.

Oyo Rooms A Hit On Valentines’ Day: 90% Bookings Increased

Oyo Rooms has informed that on the occasion of Valentines’ Day, overall bookings made on their platform surged by 90.58% in a single day, which is February 14th.

These bookings were made not only by couples seeking privacy, but also by families, and tourists alike.

Bookings made via their app witnessed a stunning increase of 100%, compared to last year. 90% of all Valentines’ day bookings were made via app, while only 10% of the bookings were made via the website and other mediums.

Infact, such is the popularity of Oyo Rooms for Valentines’ day, that one booking was made in the month of August, 2019, for February 14th, 2020!

Delhi #1 In Booking Oyo Rooms On Valentines’ Day

When it comes to booking rooms on Valentines’; day, then Delhi emerged as the true capital of India.

Delhites (which also includes Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad) booked most number of rooms this Valentines’ Day on Oyo, compared to any other city in India.

While Bengaluru was at #2, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Chennai were at #3, #4 and #5 positions.

While Pondicherry, Chennai and Hyderabad were the top cities in South India to book Oyo Rooms, Goa, Pune and Mumbai were the top destinations in Western India.

If we talk about international locations, then Kuala Lumpur emerged as the hot favorite in terms of total bookings.

This comparison was made for all bookings done for the period 14th -16th February in 2020, and which were made before 9th February (2019 Vs 2020).
