Xiaomi India has unveiled a new budget smartphone under 7,000 rupees, and it’s not Redmi 9A. The latest Redmi A series device is Redmi 8A Dual, an improved model of the existing Redmi 8A.

Alongside Redmi 8A dual, the company also unveiled its latest Power Bank series under Redmi brand.

While the pricing remains largely similar for both the new products, here’s what you should know about Redmi 8A Dual and Redmi power bank.

Redmi 8A Dual Specs, Features: Better Than Redmi 8A?

Redmi 8A Dual phone comes with a brand new design on the out. As mentioned at the launch event, Redmi 8A Dual sports the Latest new Aura XGrip design by Xiaomi. Upfront, Redmi 8A Dual comes with a 6.22-inch HD+ display.

The device comes with dual Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both sides with splash-resistant coating.

It offers a screen resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels with a water drop notch design on top alongside a little chin down under.

Redmi 8A Dual will be available in three different new color options in India: Sea Blue, Sky White, and Midnight Gray.

Coming to the major USP, the new Redmi 8A Dual will come with two cameras. The new Redmi smartphone comes with dual rear cameras, a 13-megapixel primary shooter and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

Upfront, 8A Dual has a 8-megapixel selfie shooter with AI Scene Detection and AI Portrait Mode features.

Redmi 8A Dual phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC with a dedicated microSD card slot. The device supports dual VoLTE and VoWiFi. The system is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for reverse charging.

Redmi 8A Dual Price, Redmi Powerbank

Redmi 8A Dual price starts at Rs. 6,499 for the base model with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. The next model has 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, and will be sold at Rs. 6,999. Redmi 8A Dual will be available via Amazon, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores.

The company also launched two Redmi-branded Power Banks in the country: 10,000mAh and 20,000mAh  dual input and dual output. Redmi Powerbank 10,000mAh model will sell at Rs 799 and 20,000mAh model at Rs 1,499.
