iPhone SE 2 / iPhone 9 Under Rs 30,000? India Launch Date, Specs, Pricing

The leaks say that Apple is ready with their new smartphone, which will be unveiled in mid-March.

The name is yet to be confirmed by the company, and it’s either going to be iPhone 9 or iPhone SE 2.

The iPhone 9 / iPhone SE 2 will be available at a  cheaper price than other premium priced flagships in the same segment. iPhone 9 testing is complete, and is ready to hit the markets.

iPhone 9 / iPhone SE 2: New iPhone Launch In March

iPhone 9 will come with the specs and features as iPhone 11, but at a cheaper price tag. Some reports suggest it to be iPhone SE 2, while some hint at being iPhone 9. Leaving the nomenclature apart, let’s check out the details.

Said to be a rip-off as iPhone SE, the iPhone 9 will target the entry premium market with similar specs as the current iPhone 11.

According to the latest reports, iPhone 9 / iPhone SE 2 will launch officially in India and other markets very soon at a very attractive price tag.

iPhone 9 / iPhone SE 2 India Launch: Cheaper Than OnePlus 7T?

There have been numerous rumours about the iPhone SE 2, and it’s ready to be unveiled. But it will launch as iPhone 9 as the rumours, and not as iPhone SE 2. The renders hint at as similar features as iPhone 11, sporting a 4.7-inch display with an iPhone 8 like design.

iPhone 9 or iPhone SE 2 will have a single camera inside the circular module as on iPhone 8.

The device will come with a single main camera, probably the 12-megapixel camera as the current iPhone 11 series. Up front, iPhone 9 will have a thick bezels on both sides with a physical home button, same as iPhone 8.

The iPhone 9 or iPhone SE 2 will basically offer a refreshed experience with the same body and design. iPhone SE worked well in some segments and markets, and Apple will target such consumers who don’t like notches or the new Apple design.

The company altered the design completely with iPhone 6 series, and later brought back the same with iPhone SE featuring latest internals. There are people who still want smaller sized iPhones, and that made the iPhone SE a hit.

The company will again follow a similar route with the same strategy for the iPhone 9 or iPhone SE 2, this time with the iPhone 8 design.

It was iPhone 8 with which the company adopted a completely glass body build, and thus iPhone 9 will feature a glass sandwich body.

The company again shifted to a new design starting with iPhone X and the iPhone 11 series. With iPhone SE 2, Apple will just fill in the gap here, and will target users who want to upgrade to a new iPhone, but want the same iPhone 7-like design.

The upcoming iPhone 9 or iPhone SE 2 is expected to be powered by the latest Apple A13 Bionic chip with a 12-megapixel main camera as a single rear sensor and the same front-facing camera. The display will be the same 4.7-inch LCD display, the one being used for iPhone 8.

iPhone 9 / iPhone SE 2 Price In India: To Cost Under Rs 30,000?

While there’s already a lot out in the air, nothing officially has been confirmed by the company. Apple has given out hints in the past, but nothing has happened ever since. Apple will launch iPhone 9 in 2020, probably in a few weeks.

Coming to iPhone 9 price in India, iPhone 9 may work well in India in the entry premium segment. iPhone 9 or iPhone SE 2 India price is expected to start at around Rs 30,000 to Rs 35,000.

The leaks show two variants: one with 64GB storage at $399 (around Rs 28,000 and a 128GB storage at $449 (around Rs 32,000).

iPhone 9 launch is hinted in the coming few weeks, most probably by end of March. The Apple WWDC event will happen in June, and iPhone 9 India launch will happen before it, safe to assume a six to eight weeks timeline from now.
