Mi Watch Color with a circular dial has been unveiled. Is it coming to India? How different is it than Mi Watch? After Mi Watch, Xiaomi has now unveiled a new smartwatch, the Mi Watch Color with a brand new circular dial.
The new Mi Watch Color has been launched in China, and is expected in India in 2020.
Unlike Mi Watch, the Mi Watch Color comes with a circular dial and different sets of colourful straps. While Xiaomi is yet to announce the price for the Mi Watch Color, apart from design, the features will remain standard on both the Mi Watches.
Mi Watch Color vs Mi Watch: What’s Different And New?
The Mi Watch was unveiled with a rectangular design with a similar build as the Apple watch. But the Mi Watch Color has a different build, and it features a circular dial compared to the square form of Mi Watch.
The Mi Watch Color comes with a host of colour straps, and the circular dial are the distinguishing features on the Color version of Mi Watch.
While much inside the Mi Watch Color will remain the same as the original Mi Watch, the biggest change is going to be on the outside, the design. Mi Watch Color has a round dial instead of the rectangular dial on the original model.
The biggest change on Mi Watch Color revolves around the display.
This Mi Watch Color will have a 1.39-inch display offering a screen resolution of 454 x 454 pixels. The new Mi Watch is going to be water-resistant and will be able to record activities as the original model.
The watch will come with all the standard sensors with similar internals as Mi Watch including the Always-On-Display face from MIUI 11.
Mi Watch Color is expected to run on Qualcomm’s specifically built Snapdragon wearable 3100 chip based on Google’s Wear OS.
Compared to the Mi Watch, the upcoming Mi Watch Color will come at a cheaper price point. The Mi Watch Color in India and Mi Watch will run on Wear OS by Google instead of the MIUI for Watch platform with similar pricing as China.

Xiaomi is yet to reveal the complete details. The company is also expected to bring the Mi Watch to the country under the Mi or Redmi brand, and the the same may happen with Mi Watch Color. Xiaomi is already the number one wearables brand in the country.

Recently Realme CEO also confirmed that they are also working on a fitness band, and hence the competition in the wearables market in India is soon going to intensify.
Xiaomi will obviously have the advantage here with a ready market and new wearable products in the pipeline. Both Mi Watch and Mi Watch Color may launch in India in 2020, where each will support Wear OS by Google with supported services.
