Known as Realme Fitness Band, these Realme bands will directly go against Xiaomi’s Mi Bands.

The first Realme Fitness Band will be competing against Xiaomi’s fourth generation hugely successful Mi Band 4 in the same pricing bracket. Mi Bands have been very popular in India, and it has made Xiaomi the number one brand in the wearables market.

Realme Fitness Band: What’s In The Box?

Realme CEO Madhav Sheth himself confirmed that Realme is working on a fitness band. He also added that the Realme band is in works, and it will launch in a few months, most probably in the first half of 2020. Realme fitness band India launch will happen sometime in the first or second quarter or 2020.

The device is already under work, and probably in one of the final phases.

While nothing about the Realme fitness band was shared, it’s being speculated to be at par with the current Mi Band 4 by Xiaomi. The Xiaomi Mi Band 4 was launched in India back in September at Rs 2,299.

Realme has already been diversifying its portfolio of products in the country, and after more than a dozen smartphones, it’s getting into audio accessories, smartphone accessories, power banks and even bags. Realme will continue to diversify into more lifestyle product categories in 2020.

Realme Fitness Band vs Mi Band 4: Can Realme Beat Xiaomi?

Mi Bands have been very popular in India, and it has made Xiaomi the number one brand in the wearables market. Xiaomi has no closest competitor currently, and Realme will face some tough competition here.

Realme will be on a hyper expanding mode in 2020 with different lifestyle products and accessories.

The Realme fitness band will go up against Mi Band 4 by Xiaomi. Realme has already been fighting it neck to neck against Xiaomi in the budget and mid range smartphone market.

Mi Band 4 is a bestseller as other Mi bands. With Realme bringing its own fitness affordable fitness tracker, it will have the brand to bring in sales, and as other Realme products, it will be again priced aggressively.

Realme Band will come with the standard features as optical heart rate sensor, a colour OLED display and a long-lasting battery. Mi Band 4 comes with these features, and the Realme Fitness Band may have additional features or design, like a better and bigger display, bigger width and design.

Xiaomi Mi Band 4 comes with a 0.95-inch AMOLED touchscreen colour display offering a resolution of 240 x 120 pixels.  It has a heart-rate sensor, step counter, touch display and supports voice commands.

The market is already flooded with several affordable fitness bands by companies such as Honor, Huawei, Lenovo and Intex. The Realme fitness band launch in India is expected in the second quarter of 2020, and it’s going to be tough competition.

The company needs to make sure they don’t keep any stone unturned. 

The Realme fitness band price is expected to be around the same as Mi Band 4, from Rs 2,000 to Rs 2,500. The Realme fitness band India price will be in line with the China price, around Rs 2,500.
