Ever since the new mobile tariff came into force, there has been some confusion regarding the minimum recharge value for any mobile number.

Minimum recharge is the recharge done to keep a mobile number active, and enable it to have atleast incoming calls.

People are right now searching as to which telecom service provider has the least expensive minimum recharge value?

As we found out, it’s Jio which has the most expensive minimum recharge, while Airtel has the cheapest.

Here are the details..

Minimum Recharge Of Jio: Most Expensive

In the case of Jio, there are two types of users: JioPhone users and normal smartphone users.

For JioPhone users, the minimum recharge now is Rs 75, which provides validity of 28 days, and 500MB of data per day, along with unlimited Jio to Jio calling, and 500 off-network calls (Jio to Airtel/Vodafone/BSNL)

For regular smartphone users, the minimum recharge value for Jio users is Rs 98, which provides total of 2GB data, with validity of 28 days. Unlimited Jio to Jio calls is allowed, with 500 off-network calls.

Minimum Recharge Of Airtel: Least Expensive

On the other hand, the least expensive minimum recharge is right now from Airtel, which will cost only Rs 23, for a validity period of 28 days.

However, unlike Jio, there is no calling benefits, no data or SMS.

This recharge of Rs 23 will only extend the validity to 28 days.

Rs 49 and Rs 79 are other recharges, for expending validity. Users can get talktime and data of Rs 38.42/100MB and Rs 64/200MB respectively.

However, Airtel has made all off-network calls absolutely free for all users. 

Vodafone-Idea Minimum Recharge

In the case of Vodafone-Idea, the minimum recharge value is Rs 24 for 14 days validity. Hence, for 28 days validity, the minimum recharge becomes Rs 48.

Just like Airtel, Vodafone too offers no voice calling or data benefits with the Rs 24 pack for 14 days validity.

In case any Vodafone user wants to 28 days validity, then they can opt for Rs 49 All Rounder pack, which provides a talk time of Rs 38, and 100MB data for 28 days (validity)
