Viacom18 has launched India’s first multi-format kids app, which offers learning and entertainment, under the same format.

This is Viacom18’s first subscription model based digital platform, thereby entering into the ever expanding learning space.

Voot Kids: What’s InStore?

Voot Kids offers 20,000 videos, e-books, stories and quizzes, which have been tailor-made based on the age and learning capability of kids.

Certified by Certified by Early Childhood Association (ECA), Voot Kids claims to offer India’s largest collection of such kid’s content, which can be accessed by both Android and iOS users.

Speaking on the launch, Sudhanshu Vats, Group CEO & MD, Viacom18 said, “As a network, we have been the undisputed leader in kids’ entertainment content since the past 5 years. Our digital play VOOT is the second largest video-on-demand platform in the country today.”

Who Is The Target Audience?

The content provided under Voot Kids has been customised and created for age 2 to 8 years. Content has been conceptualised in partnership with leading brands such as Nickelodeon, Oxford University Press, Warner Media, Green Gold, Ceebeebies, TV Asahi, Sony Music, Hasbro, Mattel, Lego and many more. 

Using Voot Kids, children can listen, read, view and learn, all in the same space, thereby enhancing their communication and logical abilities, with technology as the catalyst.

We spoke with Gourav Rakshit, who is the COO of Viacom18 Digital Ventures, about Voot Kids, and he said that this app designed for kids provides a bridge between children and parents, through immersive co-consumption experiences.

Parental Control Feature Available

Voot Kids provides full control to the parents, as they can monitor the content access, which will help the kids to consume content in a safe environment.

Viewing time and content type, both can be configured and controlled by the parents, thereby providing a safety net for the users.

The app will provide access to children’s favourite cartoons, pre-school content, learning shows, visual e-Books, audio stories, fun quizzes and more, thereby enhancing their learning and entertainment quotient at the same time.

The core vision of Voot Kids is ‘Masti Main Acchai’ 

Pricing Model

Voot Kids will be offered in two variants: Users can opt for a monthly subscription of Rs 99, or opt for a year subscription of Rs 799.

Free trails are available for first time users. For the annual subscribers, there is a 30 days free trial, whereas for monthly users, there is a 7-day trial.

Viacom18 aims to reach more than 50 million households, for creating awareness about Voot Kids.
