Double Salary As Bonus For 1.9 Lakh Huawei Employees; Rs 2000 Cr Incentives Announced!

Chinese telecommunication giant Huawei has announced that every employee in their company will receive double salary for October.

Besides, Rs 2000 crore or $286 million cash incentives have also been announced, for employees.

What is the reason?

Double Salary For All Huawei Employees

As per a report by the South China Morning Post, which has been confirmed by Reuters, Huawei will pay double salary to every 1.9 lakh employees in their organization.

Total of 2 billion yuan  or $286 million worth of cash incentives have also been announced, which will be mainly provided to those in the research departments, and supply chain division.

Reason For Incentives

These incentives have been announced as a reward for Huawei employees, to fight off American sanctions, which almost stopped their business in the USA, and prohibited them from doing business with American companies.

Although this ban was partially lifted, but it has impacted Huawei and forced them to opt for alternative business models, including a new Android OS.

Now, despite such bans and black listings, Huawei managed to retain their position as world’s 2nd biggest smartphone maker, and reported a massive 27% rise in revenues, for 3rd quarter of this financial year.

This reward of double salary for all employees, and Rs 2000 crore cash incentives is a direct result of this incredible performance.

War-Like Situation In Huawei Over American Sanctions

Ever since the blacklisting happened in Huawei, there has been a war-like situation in the company. As per a report by Forbes, employees have been working 7-days a week, and sometimes their shift extended to 18 hours at a stretch.

The report stated: “.. like preparing for wartime—Huawei staff are on-site almost seven days a week, from day to night, nitpicking and reviewing all the details, demanding strictly that the local company meets global standards as soon as possible.”

It was a matter of life and death for Huawei, and all of their 1.9 lakh employees, and it seems that they won.
