Taking its technological advancements even further than the rest of the world is China, who recently cut the ribbon on the world’s largest 5G network.

The 5G network connection has been launched by several countries at the beginning of this year, but China has claimed that their 5G connection will be the largest in the world.

Three of the major telecom operators in China have officially announced that their 5G connections will be rolled out to the public soon.

This has happened while the country is openly at war with the US, and is openly striving to be the technological superpower in the world.

Three of the major mobile network carriers in China, viz., China Mobile’s, China Unicom and China Telecom’s announced that they will be launching their 5G mobile network plans from this Friday to the citizens of China. But news is that they have already launched their network on Thursday, and made it available for the customers as well.

Some other telecom carriers such as China Telecom Corp. and China Unicom Hong Kong Ltd. have also joined the clan and introduced 5G for their customers too.

The 5G network plans will be priced at 128 yuan ($18) a month, which is considerably low. Even for the customers who use the internet heavily, China Mobile’s 5G plans cost similar to 4G plans, which is as high as 588 yuan a month.

50,000 Base Stations Of 5G Network To Be Installed

In a note written to the clients, Chris Lane and other analysts at Sanford C. Bernstein said, “While some other countries launched 5G services earlier this year, China will have the largest commercial operating 5G network in the world on Friday. The scale of its network and the price of its 5G services will have a pivotal impact throughout the supply chain.”

As per reports, the authorities have scheduled the installation of more than 50,000 base stations in about 50 cities of China by the end of the year. Some big cities, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Hangzhou already are equipped with the 5G network.

Keeping in mind the 5G network launch, Chinese smartphone companies have already launched new products that are 5G ready.
