Indian Railways is now making additional arrangements for extra berths and seats, for everyone.

Extra Berths For Every Passenger: Indian Railways Takes These Steps

As per news coming in, Indian Railways is now deploying an innovative feature, which will make the use of power car generator coaches redundant.

This means that instead of adding two power car generator coaches, every train will now have two additional coaches, and this converts to 144 extra berths.

Power generator coaches are added in every train, which provides power for charging mobiles, and laptops, and using any electric appliances inside the train.

However, now an eco-friendly method will be used, which will generate power without using the power generator coaches.

This work has already begun for Rajdhani Express, Shatabdi Express, Duronto Express, Sampark Kranti, Humsafar Express and other Express trains, all over the country.

144 extra berths in every train will help wait-listed passengers to get confirmed tickets, without any hassles. Overall, more than 4 lakh extra berths will be generated via this method.

How Will This Work?

Power car generators are added in the trains for generating power, under EOG (End of Generation) technology.

However, after much research and testing, Indian Railways will now use HOG (Head On Generation) technology, which will basically draw power from the overhead wiring itself, and then supply the same to all the coaches.

This will help in reducing pollution as well, since power car generator coaches are no more needed.

This has been hailed as of the brightest technological innovations ever introduced by Indian Railways.
