OnePlus 7T Pro Design: Any Upgrade?

Technically speaking, no. While the latest OnePlus 7T saw an upgrade in terms of design technology, the new OnePlus 7T Pro still packs in a triple-camera system stacked vertically packed in a frosted matte finish layer. It’s a mix of glass and feels metallic on the out. OnePlus 7T Pro features the same 90Hz Fluid AMOLED screen as OnePlus 7 Pro.

OnePlus 7T came with an upgraded triple-camera set-up, but OnePlus 7T Pro again has the same design language to offer.

The device opted for a premium matte-frosted glass back this time, again same as OnePlus 7 Pro. It feels very good to be held, and the gradient colours are clean and smooth. The company packs in a good TPU case in the box, but you don’t have to worry about the smudges. The the glass sandwich design is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.

OnePlus 7T Pro Display: The Same Curved Seamless Experience

OnePlus becomes one of the first in the country to ship the latest Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 Plus processor.

It’s 15 percent faster than the standard Snapdragon 855 on the predecessor. This won’t be a huge upgrade, but you will find some subtle differences between the successor and OnePlus 7 Pro. It can manage everything you throw at it, be it top-end games at higher screen resolution, extensive multitasking or both.

OnePlus 7T Pro will use the AI on the new SD 855 Plus chip to offer some added  features as Smart Boost, Zen Mode and more. Smart Boost learns your smartphone habits over time and helps apps to load faster background. OnePlus has added multiple optimisations under the latest OxygenOS utilising the 855+.

OnePlus 7T Pro Verdict: Should You Upgrade?

If you are using a OnePlus 7 Pro already, then it’s completely unnecessary. The new OnePlus 7T Pro doesn’t come with any big upgrade. The new OnePlus 7T Pro launched in just less than four months. In case you are upgrading from OnePlus 6T or any other Android / Apple flagship, this device does pack in some killer things.

OnePlus 7T Pro has the autofocus sensor outside of the camera module, and a new colour option called Haze Blue, slightly lighter than Nebula Blue.

It has the marginally upgraded Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC, same Adreno 640 GPU, slightly bigger 4,085mAh battery and new Warp 30T charging technology. This doesn’t make any big of a difference, while the performance might bump a little.

OnePlus 7T Pro has been launched at Rs 53,999 for a single model

It is still costly given the other options in the range, but it’s probably the experience you are paying for.

There are only a handful of differences between 7T Pro and 7 Pro. The new OnePlus 7T Pro has almost everything as OnePlus 7 Pro. With OnePlus again back with a new Pro smartphone at a higher price, they seem to be attempting to be the next Apple in the premium segment.
