Fortune Magazine has released their list of the most powerful women in business list, and there is a huge surprise here.

Popular Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma has been placed in the list, at #39, which makes her India’s most powerful business women from Bollywood industry.

Ekta Kapoor, the renowned producer of TV serials too has been placed in this coveted list.

Not only business, but also cultural and social equations are included to derive the final list, and it seems that Anushka Sharma has set a new benchmark.

Notably, she is also the wife of India’s most popular cricketer right now: Virat Kohli.

In their description of the winners who are included in this highly esteemed list, Fortune has mentioned that Anushka is the founder of a clothing line: Nush, and is also tne brand ambassador of top women-centric brands such as Nivea, Elle 18, Myntra and Lavi.

Fortune also mentions the fact that Anushka established her own movie production company at the age of 25 years, and produced three small-budget movies, which each earned Rs 40 crore at the box office.

And, she has also partnered with Netflix to produce movies, thereby combining both business and Bollywood into a profitable venture.

Earlier, Forbes had declared Virat Kohli as the richest sportsperson in India.

Zia Modi Most Powerful Business Woman In India

Topping the list by Fortune is Zia Modi, who has been declared as the most powerful business woman in India.

She is one of the ace corporate lawyers in India, and founder of her company: AZB & Partners.

She was instrumental in executing the crucial L&T’s hostile takeover of Mindtree this year.

Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Chairperson and MD, Biocon is at #2 position, while Suneeta Reddy, Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise is at #3.

Alice G. Vaidyan, Former chairman and MD, General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC Re) has been placed at #4, while Zarin Daruwala, CEO, Standard Chartered Bank, India is at #5 position.

Ekta Kapoor, Joint managing director, Balaji Telefilms is at #22, which is another big achievement for the Television industry.
