Samsung Galaxy M30S Launched: Top 10 Features Decoded (Camera Performance, Gaming, Battery)

Samsung has finally unveiled the latest variant of the it’s hit Galaxy M30 smartphone in the country, Galaxy M30S. An upgrade over the predecessor, Galaxy M30S comes with a humongous 6,000mAh battery, 48MP powered triple camera system, new Exynos 9611 chip and more.

Galaxy M30S has been launched at a similar price as the old M30 smartphone, starting at Rs 13,999.

The company also unveiled Galaxy M10S with a dual camera system, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a bigger 4,000mAh battery. Apart from Galaxy M30S and Galaxy M10S, Samsung announced a new variant of the current Galaxy M30 in a 3GB + 32GB configuration.

The Same Design

Galaxy M30S comes with a polycarbonate body, the same as the predecessor. In terms of durability, Galaxy M30S is tough and it has the similar gradient hues on the out. The polycarbonate is shiny, so it’s a fingerprint magnet.

Super AMOLED Display

Samsung Galaxy M30S has a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Full HD+ display with a circular notch and a thin chin. The Super AMOLED screen offers some crisp and ultra-clear viewing experience.

Not Heavy

Galaxy M30S measures 8.9mm in thickness and weighs under 190 grams. It’s not heavy, and neither the massive battery makes it uneasy to use. It’s comfortable to hold, and the screen size is okay as well. 

Widevine L1 Support

Samsung Galaxy M30S supports Widevine L1 certification, so you can stream in HD OTT platforms as Netflix, Prime Video and Hotstar. 

48MP Triple Camera

Galaxy M30S comes with a rear triple camera system featuring a 48MP primary sensor with two other sensors. The device couples with an 8MP ultra wide-angle sensor and a 5MP depth sensor with support for Live Focus.

16MP Front Camera

Up front, Galaxy M30s packs a 16MP selfie camera. The M30S selfie camera supports AI scene detection. The cameras support dedicated modes as Night Mode, Super Slow-Mo Recording, HDR and more.

New Exynos 9611 Chip

Samsung Galaxy M30S is powered by a newly improved 2.3GHz Exynos 9611 chipset. The Samsung in-house chip js based on a 10nm process equipped with Mali G72 MP3 GPU. It will help the new M30 smartphone to offer better performance and gaming experience.

Android 9 Pie & OneUI

Samsung Galaxy M30S ships with the latest Samsung’s own skin One UI. It has a similar interface as the predecessor based on Android 9 Pie. The memory can be further expanded via microSD card up to 512GB.

6,000mAh Battery & Fast Charging

The new Galaxy smartphone supports the same 15W fast charging over Type-C port. Galaxy M30S packs in a humongous 6,000mAh battery which can easily run for more than two days on a single charge.

Galaxy M30S India Pricing & Variants

Galaxy M30S has been priced starting at Rs 13,999 for the base model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage. The 6GB RAM with 128GB storage model is priced at Rs 16,999 in three gradient colour options: Opal Black, Sapphire Blue and Pearl White.
