Redmi Note 8, Note 8 Pro Launched Starting At Rs 10,000: Full Specs, India Launch, Pricing, Availability

After the first budget quad camera Realme 5 series, Xiaomi unveiled its own Redmi Note 8 series. The company is ready to disrupt the budget smartphone market once again, and this time they have their own quad camera devices to take on Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro.

The Note 8 smartphones start at as low as Rs 10,000.

The new Redmi Note series phones includes two devices as the predecessor series: Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro. The devices have been launched in China now, and it will come to India in a few days. The company is yet to give an official date, and probably the Note 8 series India launch will take place in September.

Redmi Note 8 Full Specs: Display, Design, Hardware

The regular Redmi Note 8 features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ screen offering 90 percent screen-to-body ratio with a dot drop notch on the front. The device sports a glass sandwich body with Gorilla Glass 5 support on the front and back.

Redmi Note 8 comes with a quad rear camera setup featuring a primary 48MP Samsung GM1 sensor with f/1.79 aperture, 2MP depth sensor, 8MP Ultra Wide lens with 120-degree depth view and a 2cm Macro lens. Upfront, Redmi Note 8 comes with a 13MP selfie camera.

Redmi Note 8 comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor, the same chip which powers the recently launched Xiaomi Mi A3. The smartphone will come with the same 4,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging support and the same USB Type C port. 

The device runs on Android 9 Pie based on MIUI 10 with a dedicated 3.5mm headphone jack.

Redmi Note 8 Pro Full Specs: Display, Design, Hardware

Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with a 6.53-inch Full HD+ screen offering an immersive 91.94 per cent screen-to-body ratio. On the out, the smartphone comes with a glass sandwich body sporting a 3D curved curved glass.

It comes with a dot drop notch up front that equipped with a 13MP selfie sensor. Redmi Note 8 Pro also comes with a quad camera system at the back. Note 8 Pro comes with the 64MP camera. The Redmi smartphone features a primary 64MP Samsung GW1 sensor with f/1.7 aperture, 2MP depth sensor, 8MP Ultra Wide lens and 2cm Macro lens.

Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with the newly launched MediaTek Helio G90T processor and will support Blackshark’s gaming controller that will sell separately.

Redmi Note 8 Pro will have larger 4,500mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging support with USB Type C port. Note 8 Pro also runs on Android 9 Pie based on MIUI 10 with a dedicated 3.5mm headphone jack, IP52 and NFC support.

Redmi Note 8 Series Pricing: What Will Be The India Pricing?

Redmi Note 8 Pro will come in three variants: 6GB RAM with 64GB storage will cost 1399 Yuan (around Rs 14,000), 6GB RAM with 128GB storage at 1599 Yuan (around Rs 16,000) and 8GB RAM with 128GB storage costs 1799 Yuan (around  Rs 18,000).

The regular Redmi Note 8 also comes in three variants: the base variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage at 999 Yuan (around Rs 10,000).

The mid-end model with 6GB RAM with 64GB storage at 1199 Yuan (around 12,000) and finally the top-end model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage at 1399 yuan (around Rs 14,000).
