The rise of this new Alliance is significant, since now, users of these three smartphone brands can seamlessly transfer data and files between each other, without using Internet.

Without having any Internet coverage or data pack, users of these three smartphone brands can now transfer data at 20 Mbps speed.

Apple’s Airdrop Type File Transfer Service?

Apple has AirDrop feature, which is widely used among iPhone and MacBook, iPad users.

Using AirDrop, any Apple user of iPhone or iPad or Macbook can transfer files among one another, without using Internet. Airdrop uses both WiFi and Bluetooth for file transfers.

However, creating an Airdrop type feature for Android was very tough, since every smartphone brand uses their own version of Android, making compatibility extremely difficult and technically very tough.

However, Xiaomi took this as a challenge, and developed a unique platform for file transfer, which has been supported by Vivo, Oppo as well.

In India, Xiaomi, along with Oppo and Vivo has captured more than 50% market share. Once this alliance for file transfer goes live after August, 2019, users of these brands can find file transfer extremely easy and seamless.
