With just 4 days before launching its upcoming Realme 5 series of smartphones, the company has revealed some new details about the much-awaited smartphone pair to be released soon.

The Realme 5 series will include a regular Realme 5 and a Realme 5 Pro and both will feature quad-camera systems.  The new reports that have come in include that the Realme 5 will pack a massive 5,000mAh battery, while the Realme 5 Pro is confirmed to come with VOOC 3.0 fast charging.

The company in a tweet has confirmed that Realme 5 will come with a massive 5000mAh battery, which is touted to deliver “Unprecedented Battery life.” It also tweeted that the Realme 5 Pro will support VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 tech. However, it is not clear what will be the battery capacity on the Pro variant.

What has been known since the start is that both the phones will come with a quad camera setup, including ultra-wide angle, super macro, and portrait modules. In fact, the Pro variant will ship with a 48MP Sony IMX586 unit as the main sensor.

A dedicated micro-site of the handset on Flipkart not only suggests that it will be available via the online retailer, but also confirms the presence of an ultra-wide lens with 119-degree field of view, a Super Macro lens with a 4 cm microscopic focal length and a fourth lens that will assist in capturing portrait images.

Realme 5 is also expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 665 chipset as per a Geekbench listing. This will be the first smartphone in India to feature Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 665 SoC. Notably, the Mi A3 is the first global smartphone to feature the Qualcomm chipset and it is set to come to India a day after the launch of the Realme 5 series.

Realme has confirmed that it will support VOOC 3.0 fast charging that will charge the device up to 55% in 30 minutes.

Realme’s phones so far have largely impressed us with their battery performance thanks to some neat software optimizations. The Realme 5 packing a 5,000mAh battery, we could be looking at a 2-day battery life smartphone.
