Big news coming in from the Xiaomi camp, regarding the future of camera.
If we believe the reports, then Xiaomi may soon launch a 100MP (or 108MP) camera smartphone, which can have a Samsung sensor.
They are right now working on the same, and some solid progress has been made.
If you thought that 64MP camera smartphone is the future, then it’s time to rethink your strategies!
Xiaomi’s 100MP Camera Smartphone
A Russian website has reported that Xiaomi is working on a 100 mega pixel smartphone (100 million pixels), and as per them, Samsung sensor will be supporting this camera.
As per the information available, Samsung ISOCELL sensor will power the 100MP camera smartphone from Xiaomi.
The base of this claim is a Weibo post, done by Xiaomi themselves wherein they talk about the 100 mega pixel smartphone coming soon, with Samsung sensor.
However, the company hasn’t confirmed whether this 100MP camera smartphone will have Samsung ISOCELL sensors or not.
Redmi’s next smartphone, Redmi Note 8 will most probably have 64MP camera, which will be powered with Samsung’s ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor which supports Tetracell and 3D HDR technology for shooting images in any light.
At the same time, their 0.8um pixel with ISOCELL Plus technology “significantly increases light sensitivity and color fidelity for more accurate and clearer photos.” (as per Samsung’s website)
Xiaomi’s 100MP Camera Smartphone: Is It Mi Mix 4?
There is a very high probability that Xiaomi’s new smartphone with 100MP camera can be Mi Mix 4.
Mi Mix 3, the last smartphone from the Mi Mix series was launched in October last year, and has been a blockbuster product from Xiaomi,
In March and April this year, rumors floated in regarding possible leaks of Mi Mix 4 smartphone, some of them eventually turned out to be false.
As of now, everyone believes that Mi Mix 4 will have 64MP camera, but there is a chance that they can change it to 100MP camera.
And the reason is the claim made by Xiaomi Product Director, Wang Teng in July this year, that sensor of Mi Mix 4 will be even better than Samsung’s ISOCELL Bright GW1.
This means, that something big is coming up.
At the same time, we must inform you that Xiaomi is not the only brand working on 100MP camera smartphone. In March this year, Lenovo has already teased their 100MP camera smartphone, which can be a successor of Z5 Pro GT the Z6 Pro.
