Xiaomi India finally shared the Redmi K20 series launch date, and yes, its happening on July 17. The Redmi K20 devices has been in the news since the initial launch in May. Not only K20 series, we have another budget superstar joining the list in the country this week, the Realme X.

While Xiaomi prepares to launch K20 series in India, the leaks of Mi A3 are going viral like a wildfire.

The company recently added the CC series, which is expected to be launched as rebranded Mi A3 and Mi A3 Lite in some of the global markets including India. Xiaomi India also unveiled Redmi 7A last week. Also, Vivo launched Z1 Pro in the country at a very aggressive pricing to take on similarly designed devices: Galaxy M40 and Moto One Vision

Redmi K20 Pro

Xiaomi is all set to launch its first flagship series under Redmi in the country on July 17, the K20 series. There will be two devices under K20: Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro. The Pro model, Redmi K20 Pro continues to trend in the country since it topped the AnTuTu list to become the world’s fastest smartphone beating all the top flagships available in the market. Redmi K20 Pro runs on the latest Qualcomm flagship processor Snapdragon 855 with upto 12GB of RAM.

The device will come with a three rear camera system, notch-less display, in-display fingerprint sensor, a pop-up selfie camera with support for the latest Android Q beta version, 4,000mAh battery supporting 27W fast charging.

Realme X

Up next, we have the mid-budget flagship from Realme. After its initial launch in China, Realme X will finally in India launch this week. Set to go official on July 9, the upcoming Realme notch-less smartphone runs on the same Snapdragon 710 chip featuring a full-screen AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint sensor embedded beneath the display. The company has used a pop-up selfie sensor to offer higher screen space without a notch.

At the back, Realme X comes with dual cameras featuring the 48MP Sony IMX 586 sensor as the primary shooter. Realme X will be launching in India soon, expected to start at around Rs 18,000. The company will also unveil a special Spiderman variant on the same day.

Vivo Z1 Pro

Vivo launched an all new series in the country, the Z series. Aimed at youth, the company plans to take on Xiaomi, Realme and Asus in the segment. The first Z series device, Vivo Z1 Pro has been trending since launch. It’s currently the cheapest smartphone in India to come with a punch-hole display. Vivo Z1 Pro comes with a three camera setup at the back, Snapdragon 712 processor, 5,000mAh battery and a punch-hole display.

The company surprised all with the price as Vivo Z1 Pro only starts at Rs 14,999. It will directly challenge other punch-hole display smartphones in the market, at the same time taking on the budget superstars: Redmi Note 7 Pro and Realme 3 Pro in India.

Redmi K20

Xiaomi India plans to take on the sub-18,000 segment by a storm with Redmi K20. The device packs in some flagship level features available at a budget cost running on Snapdragon 730 chip. Realme X will fight Redmi K20 in India with such similar features. The Redmi smartphone will come with Snapdragon 730 processor featuring an 6.39-inch AMOLED Full HD+ display with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage.

Coming to optics, Redmi K20 packs in a triple rear camera featuring 48MP Sony IMX 582 sensor along with 8MP amd 13MP sensors, and finally a 20MP pop-up selfie camera. It runs on Android 9 Pie based MIUI 10 with a 4,000mAh battery backing it supporting 18W fast charging.

Mi A3

Recently a big news broke out that the third generation Mi A series smartphone, Mi A3 may launch as a re-branded Mi CC9 in the country, while Mi A3 Lite may be the toned-down Mi CC9e. The device was again leaked online, rumoured to be sporting a 48MP primary sensor inside the three rear camera setup. The leaks of Mi A3 hint at a similar design as Mi CC9, the newly launched Xiaomi device in China. At the same time, the device runs on Android One.

While the company is yet to confirm anything, it’s better to take the news with a pinch of salt. Also, if the company plans to launch Mi CC9 as Mi A3, it will come to India very soon.

Redmi 7A

Xiaomi finally unveiled Redmi 7A in the country last week. The successor to the much-hit Redmi 6A smartphone, the smartphone will take on the likes of Realme C2 in the country. Starting at Rs 5,999, Redmi 7A smartphone comes with a few upgrades and add-on features. It will have the same 5.45-inch HD+ display as Redmi 6A, same 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera.

In terms of features, Redmi 7A will be powered by a 12nm Snapdragon 439 chip, larger 4,000mAh battery, new MIUI based on Android 9 Pie and a new polycarbonate chassis design on the out donning a P2i nano-coating for splash-resistance.

Samsung Galaxy M40

Samsung Galaxy M40 launched in the country a couple of weeks back, and still the device continues to trend in India. The new Galaxy smartphone runs on an octa-core 11nm Snapdragon 675 chip paired with 6GB of RAM and Android 9 Pie based OneUI OS. Samsung Galaxy M40 features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ TFT display with a 3,500mAh battery supporting 15W fast charging and triple rear cameras including an ultrawide lens and 128GB of internal storage.

Galaxy M40 is available at Rs 19,990, in two colour options: Sea Water Blue and Midnight Blue in India, exclusively online via Amazon India.
