While Redmi K20 series is Xioami’s next in the country, the company is now set to unveil an all new series, the Mi CC smartphones in China, followed by other markets. The company has already officially confirmed first smartphones under the new CC series: Mi CC9 and Mi CC9e.
Just like its Redmi Y series, the Mi CC series will target the selfie-centric audience mostly.
The unique feature remains the flipping camera as the just launched Asus 6Z.
It’s the first Xiaomi device to come with a flipping camera, and the company is planning to take it further to other international markets. Xiaomi India is yet to confirm whether Mi CC9 and Mi CC9e will come to India or not, and if it does, it will be here by the next few weeks.
Xiaomi Mi CC Series India Launch: What’s New?
The parent Xiaomi brand is currently focusing on the upper mid-range devices, while Redmi devices are targeting the budget and mid-budget market. With the new CC series, the company will again get into the budget-friendly segment to primarily target the selfie-centric audience.
The first devices are under CC series are going to be Mi CC9 and Mi CC9e. The devices are all set to launch on July 2, as officially confirmed by Xiaomi.
Mi CC9 and Mi CC9e has already been leaked in full. Both the Mi CC smartphones are expected to come with an in-display fingerprint sensor, one with a flipping camera and with super front cameras. Both devices will have a glass body, protected by Gorilla Glass 5 on front and back. There will be triple rear camera systems and vibrant colour variants.

Starting with Mi CC9, it may come with a 6.39-inch AMOLED display, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 coupled with 6GB or 8GB and 128GB or 256GB. At the back, Mi CC9 will have a three camera system comprising of a 48MP primary sensor, secondary 16MP sensor and a third 12MP sensor.
Upfront, the phone will include a 32MP super selfie shooter, as leaked by multiple sources. The whole system will be backed by a 4,000mAh battery running on MIUI 10 on top of Android 9.0 Pie.
Coming to the next device, the Xiaomi Mi CC9e will have a smaller 5.97-inch AMOLED display offering a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. Xiaomi Mi CC9e will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor with 6GB or 8GB and 64GB or 128GB storage.
In terms of optics, the rear panel of the Mi CC9e will also include three cameras featuring a 48MP Sony IMX582 primary sensor, secondary 8MP sensor and a third 5MP sensor.
Upfront, the smartphone will come with a 32MP selfie shooter, running on a 3,500mAh battery and MIUI 10 on top of Android 9 Pie.
Mi CC Series Price In India: Mi CC9e India Price | Mi CC9 Price In India
While the India launch is still yet to be confirmed, the estimated prices are already out, and it will match the India pricing to a large extent. The first CC model, the Mi CC9e will start at 1,599 Yuan (around Rs 16,200) for the base model model with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage model.
The Mi CC9e with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage will start at around 1,899 Yuan (around Rs 19,200).
In India, the prices will see a little fluctuation. The Xiaomi Mi CC9 India price should start somewhere around 16,000 to 17,000 rupees, while the Mi CC9e India price may start at around Rs 20,000 or close to it. The India launch is yet to be confirmed, but if it does, it will happen by July or August.
