Mi Explorers 2019 Program: What Is It?
Mi Explorers 2019 is a unique community driven program designed for the hardcore Mi fans.
Under this program, Xiaomi India will select 48 lucky fans, and provide them their latest flagship: Redmi K20 Pro to use and explore. Hence, these 48 lucky fans would be the first to use this new smartphone before anyone else.
Mi Explorers 2019 was also launched for Redmi Note 3 & Redmi Note 4 in 2016 and 2017, respectively.
However, this current format of Mi Explorers 2019 seems inspired by OnePlus Labs event, which is sort of similar program to grant exclusive access to the upcoming smartphones, driven by a community-powered program.
How Will It Work?
Before June 22, 2019, at 11:59:59 PM, Mi fans should register themselves at the Mi Explorers 2019 website, and list their entry.
What Are The Selection Criteria
As per the details shared by Xiaomi India, social media presence and social media engagement seem to be the most important criteria for being selected.
The organizers have informed all the applicants to keep their social media handles open, as they will check “their level of engagement”.
How Will Be The 48 Winners Decided?
Xiaomi India community managers have designed a series of ‘missions’, which needs to be completed in the stipulated time-line.
In the announcement page, Xiaomi India said, “If it doesn’t challenge you it won’t change you!”
These ‘missions’ can be related with Mi phones, and, it is being speculated that the applicants will need to showcase and share the missions on their social media handles as well.
What exactly will be these missions, isn’t clear as of now.
Mi Explorers 2019 is open only for Indians, and once the information is submitted, it cannot be changed.
The 48 lucky fans would get the results by June 25th, 2019.
