Ever since online food ordering became a thing, Indian foodies have not shied away from making some out of the world requests to the food delivery platforms.

One of the most popular online ordering platform, Uber Eats, has recently published its report which reveals some of the most common, and somewhat weird requests that Indian customers make on the app.

Here are some of the requests made by Indians, and the most demanded food items in various cities as reported by Uber Eats!

Indians Want ‘Extra Sauce-y’ Food From Uber Eats!

Uber Eats has recently released its report, which is called, ‘The Eats Cravings report 2019’. The Indian segment of this report has disclosed the various suggestions made by Indian foodies.

The one that wins the race is ‘Extra Sauce’, followed by ‘spicy’, and ‘extra onions’. The top ten of the requests ‘Jain meal’, ‘less spicy’, ‘extra mayo’, ‘extra cheese’, ‘no onion’, ‘no garlic’, ‘extra raita’, ‘extra onions’ and ‘extra lemon’.

Among drinks, Indians went for their old and forever favourite, Lassi, followed by cold coffee and watermelon juice. Lassi was the top favourite in Mumbai, where the temperatures are sky-high in summers. Chennai chose to be healthy with watermelon juice, Mangalore picked Oreo shake, and people of Pune settled with a steamy cup of Chai!

Midnight Cravings

Chicken Biryani tops the list of the food items that were ordered late after midnight, between 11:00 PM – 1:00 AM, followed by chicken fried rice and mutton biryani. Maggi, yet another favourite of all young and old folks alike was the favourite of Bengaluru for a midnight snack. Ahmedabad and Jaipur are next in line to pick Maggi as their go-to dish for a midnight craving.

Ice Cream Flavours

The report has revealed quite an interesting fact, each city has its own favourite flavour of ice cream too! Bengaluru foodies almost always chose tender coconut ice cream over the rest, Mumbai went for Strawberry, Delhi picked Belgian chocolate and Puneites preferred the popular mango.

Desserts

In desserts, the traditional Gulab Jamun topped the charts and was followed by Ras Malai and ice cream. Chocolate Milkshake is also very much loved in India, with hot chocolate sundaes and Death by Chocolate pastries coming in very close.
