Weekly Trending Smartphones: Redmi K20 Pro, Pixel 4, Realme 4, Asus 6Z, Galaxy M40, Vivo Z1 Pro

Xiaomi India has started to tease its upcoming K20 Pro, and banged up with a hit teaser saying the upcoming Redmi flagship is the fastest smartphone on earth with AnTuTu scores beating OnePlus 7 Pro, the current fastest device on the planet (except for iPhones).

The teaser hit out at OnePlus directly, and since then K20 Pro has been trending.

The regular Redmi K20 also has been launched in a few European markets as a rebranded Mi 9T.

Samsung also added a new smartphone to its hit M series, Galaxy M40. The new Galaxy M40 is the only smartphone to come with a punch-hole design under 20,000 rupees. It will soon face a direct challenge from Vivo’s upcoming Z series device, the Z1 Pro.

Redmi K20 Pro

Xiaomi is all set to unveil its first flagship series under Redmi in the country in mid-July alongside the regular Redmi K20. Xiaomi’s first Redmi K20 Pro India launch teaser says “Somebody jus+ announced the world’s fastest phone… Oh really? Hold my AnTuTu..” Interestingly Xiaomi has claimed it to be the world’s fastest smartphone beating all the top flagships available in the market. Redmi K20 Pro will come with the latest Qualcomm flagship processor Snapdragon 855, three rear cameras, notch-less display, in-display fingerprint sensor and a pop-up selfie camera.

Redmi K20 Pro will also run on the latest Android Q beta version out of the box, a huge 4,000mAh battery supporting 27W fast charging and special gaming features to offer the best of smartphone gaming experience.

Realme 4

A rumoured video of the Realme 4 retail box has been leaked online via a YouTube video leaking some key details. Sadly, it isn’t authentic, but the smartphone started to trend since then. The box resembles the previous Realme 3 retail box. The same grey box with the number ‘4’ instead of 3 and the Realme in yellow color. The video is fake, and nothing has been confirmed by the company whether they are making it or not. The specs will see a slight improvement, but mostly it will be the same design with other features.

The list of expected Realme 4 specs will include an additional camera sensor, an upgraded processor and a few other additions. Realme 4 will come with the same water drop notch design, maybe with lesser bezels this time and a rear three camera setup.

Samsung Galaxy M40

Samsung Galaxy M40 launched in the country last week, on June 11. It’s the only smartphone to come with a punch-hole styled display at under 20,000 rupees. Most of the specs are out. Galaxy M40 will run on an octa-core 11nm Snapdragon 675 chip paired with 6GB of RAM and Android 9 Pie based OneUI OS. The Samsung Galaxy M40 will feature a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED Full HD+ display with a 3,500mAh battery supporting 15W fast charging and triple rear cameras including an ultrawide lens and 128GB of internal storage.

Galaxy M40 will have a similar body pattern and build as Galaxy M30 with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The smartphone will be available in three colour options: Blue, Orange and Black.

Asus 6Z

The Zenfone 6 from Europe will launch in India as Asus 6Z in India. After the recent court debacle, the Taiwanese company chose to drop the Zenfone name in India. The same Asus Zenfone 6 will launch in the country as Asus 6Z with all the similar specs and features. The dual camera system uses the unique flipping technology to offer a full-screen display in the form of a flippable dual camera module which doubles as a front and rear camera.

Asus 6Z runs on the latest Snapdragon 855 with almost stock ZenUI 6 skin based on Android 9 Pie with a 48MP Sony IMX 586 rear sensor and a massive 5,000mAh battery, expected to launch in India in a few weeks, probably by early July.

Google Pixel 4

After the punch-hole design leak, Google Pixel 4 has been leaked again. A new live image is out leaking the whole back design. Google itself revealed the design a few days back. The company will be using multiple lenses this time with Pixel 4. The Google Pixel 4 series would come with an in-display fingerprint scanner, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 and will run on the latest Android Q paired with up to 6GB RAM.

The new Pixel series will run on the next generation Google Assistant 2.0, which allows users to get access to the virtual assistant even without any internet connectivity.

Vivo Z1 Pro

The Vivo Z1 Pro has been trending for quite sometime now. The company has been teasing the device for a few days, and the launch is expected to happen in a few days. The Z1 Pro will come with an in-display camera on the front as the newly launched Samsung Galaxy M40. The smartphone will have a punch-hole selfie camera to offer a higher screen-to-body ratio. The Vivo Z1 Pro is going to be the first Vivo phone to come with a punch-hole display.

Vivo Z5x would launch in India as Z1 Pro. The China edition comes with the same punch hole camera design. The new Vivo phone will be the first to come with Snapdragon 712 processor in India.

OnePlus 7 Pro

OnePlus 7 Pro is on sale now, and the new-age flagship continues to make news. The OnePlus hype doesn’t seem to be come down easily as sales have already started to grow. OnePlus 7 Pro has been launched in India starting at Rs 48,999. OnePlus 7 Pro has been helmed as one of the best smartphones available in the market right now with probably the best smartphone display and the second-best smartphone camera.

OnePlus 7 Pro runs on Snapdragon 855 featuring a rear triple camera set-up, notch-less display, an in-display fingerprint sensor, pop-up selfie camera and a 4,000mAh battery supporting 30W Warp fast charging.
