This Railways Station From UP Has Become Like An Airport; France To Infuse 7 Lakh Euro For Improving Our Railways Stations!
Indian Railways is attempting to bring about a revolutionary change in the face of the railway stations of India.
And for this, the national transporter is taking the help of its French counterpart, who has graciously agreed to offer help of as much as 7 lakh Euros.
In addition to that, a railway station in Uttar Pradesh has undergone a major makeover and has successfully accomplished the grand look of an airport. Apparently, it will have a new name too!

France To Give 7 Lakh Euros For Railway Station Development in India
The ISRDC (Indian Railway Station Development Corporation) has partnered up with French National Railways SNCF and French Development Agency AFD in a tripartite agreement, wherein the French institutions have granted an amount of up to 7 lakh euros to the Indian Railways.
This amount is to be used to increase the rate of development of the railway stations of India.
Suresh Angadi, Minister of State for Railways, and Jean Baptiste Lemoyne, Minister of State for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, Alexandre Ziegler, Ambassador of France in India and other senior officers of the French Embassy and Indian Railways were present when the agreement was signed.
Mr Angadi mentioned the partnership that has been strong for quite a few years between India and France in the railway sector. He also said, “French Railways (SNCF) in the past has been associated with Indian Railways in conducting speed upgradation study for Delhi-Chandigarh section and station development of Ludhiana and Ambala stations.”
Railway Station in Varanasi That Resembles an Airport
There is a railway station in Varanasi, that has put together a fabulous ‘airport look’. The Manduadih railway station of Varanasi, or Banaras, or Kashi, has been excellently refurbished to give it a sleek and posh look.
It has been adorned with LED lights, air-conditioned waiting lounge, stainless steel benches, and many more facilities.
There are fountains too! They are set up around the circulating area. There is a nice and roomy waiting lounge, circulating area, booking/reservation office, cafeteria, food court, waiting rooms as well. An AC lounge has been built, along with AC and non-AC retiring rooms complete with dormitories.
The best feature of this railway station is its cleanliness. The station is always spick and span, and well-maintained.
Additionally, this railway station will be rebranded as the Banaras Railway Station, under the Modi Government. However, this has not been declared officially.
