LG W Series Smartphone: What We Know So Far

We have already covered that the new LG W Series smartphone is aiming to disrupt the budget, sub-Rs 10,000 niche of smartphones, and they have set their aim to overtake Redmi and Realme in this regard.

As per the Amazon India landing page, this new offering from LG will have triple camera setup with various modes such as bokeh, night-mode, portrait and more.

Besides this, we have also come to know that this smartphone will be powered by a 12nm octa-core processor, which will be clocked at 2.0 GHz.

Now, there are three processors which fall under this category: MediaTek’s Helio P22 and Helio P60 processors and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 439 processor.

This will have 4000mAh battery, and this changes the equation. LG’s Boombox proprietary sound technology is also confirmed for LG W Series smartphone.

The smartphone is expected to arrive in three colour variants, with gradient finish, and would be as thin as a pencil.

Some reports also state that the waterdrop notch can be adjusted, and made small.

Android 9Pie is confirmed as the default OS, but it is possible that the users would be able to upgrade to Android Q.

LG W Series: Price

Regarding price, there are only speculations.

On the Amazon India landing page, they have mentioned terms like “pocket-worthy price tag” and “never before prices”, and we are speculating that it will be priced under Rs 10,000.

However, there is one thing we will like to share here: Smartphones from LG have always been great, quality wise. Their last launch: LG V40 was a good smartphone at decent price.

It seems what LG lacks behind is marketing and promotions of their smartphones, and maybe, with LG W Series, things can change.

We will keep you updated, as more details come in.
