So, finally we have the new M series device from Samsung, Galaxy M40. The fourth Galaxy M series smartphone comes with the new punch-hole design technology, the first of its kind on a budget.

Galaxy M40 will be available officially via Amazon India. The smartphone will come with a triple camera system at the back and a big 3,500mAh battery with fast charging support.

Samsung Galaxy M40 Specs & Features
Samsung Galaxy M40 will come with an Infinity-O Display panel. It’s the first smartphone under 20,000 rupees to come with a hole-punch camera design. The smartphone packs in a fingerprint sensor at the back with a triple rear camera setup.
On top, Samsung Galaxy M40 comes with a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels with the Infinity-O cut.
Galaxy M40 has achieved more than 91 percent screen to body ratio with very thin bezels and a little bottom.
The contrast ratio of 1200:1 with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top and 480 nits of brightness.
It has Widevine L1 certification with support for 360 degree sound. So, you can stream HD content and enjoy it on a high-quality surround sound.
Samsung Galaxy M40 packs in the same 32-megapixel primary sensor from recently launched Galaxy A70 including a special On-Screen Sound technology to enable the display panel to generate audio vibrations without a conventional earpiece.
In terms of optics, Galaxy M40 packs in the 32-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.7 aperture, 5-megapixel secondary depth sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and finally a 8-megapixel tertiary sensory with an ultra-wide-angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture and 123 degree wide angle view with AI supported features.
Upfront, the smartphone has a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
Under the hood, Samsung Galaxy M40 runs on an octa-core Snapdragon 675 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM and Adreno 612 GPU. At the launch event, the company said the hardware to be “ultra-smooth” and “super quick” to offer some extensive multitasking experience with 128GB of onboard storage (expandable via microSD card up to 512GB).
On AnTuTu, the smartphone achieved around 175,000, making it the most powerful Samsung M series smartphone.
The device supports NFC support and runs on Android 9 Pie with company’s own One UI on top. The whole system is backed by a 3,500mAh battery supporting 15W wired fast charging technology.
Samsung Galaxy M40 Price In India, Availability: Galaxy M40 Launch Offers
Samsung Galaxy M40 will be available in two colour options: Sea Water Blue and Midnight Blue in India. M40 will be available exclusively online via Amazon India starting on June 18, 12 noon. Galaxy M40 will be available at Rs 19,990 in the country.
It’s been launched in a single variant at Rs 19,990 with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
Reliance Jio is offering double data benefits with Rs 198 and Rs 299 prepaid plans savings worth Rs. 3,110 over 10 recharges. Vodafone and Idea users will receive cashback worth Rs 3,750 on recharge of Rs 255 and additional 0.5GB data per day for up to 18 months.
Airtel is offering 100 percent additional data for a period of 10 months with Galaxy M40. There’s extra 4GB data per day as well on the Rs 249 recharge with an additional 560GB data over 10 months.
