LG’s W-Series Smartphone Will Shake Up The Budget Segment; Will It Defeat Realme, Redmi In India?

After a really long dull phase, LG, one of the original smartphone makers from the last decade is all set to make a big comeback. Just like its counterpart Samsung, this South Korean conglomerate is prepping up to take on Xiaomi and Realme in India in the budget category.

Recently Samsung tasted some success with youth-focused M series smartphones.

LG is planning to do something similar, but with more features with at a more aggressive pricing strategy.

The LG W series smartphones will be available exclusively via Amazon India, as already the Notify Me page is now live with an update on few features. The company hardly has any presence in the Indian smartphone market, and the new move could help it to change the current scenario.

LG W Series Against Xiaomi, Realme & Samsung: Will It Be Successful?

Xiaomi has been dominating the market since a few years, and recently Realme took up a substantial share with its budget-friendly offerings. Samsung opted the same way with its new M series, and the company has been able to gain back some share in the market.

Budget smartphones packed with top features and aggressive pricing is the answer to the challenge in the Indian smartphone market.

Most of the consumers are price sensitive, and hence the price card plays well with any company. Xiaomi did it, then Realme, Samsung and now LG plans to do the same.

As an advantage, LG is already a renowned brand. So, the company won’t face any problem in terms of brand awareness. So it won’t have to spend a bomb on any marketing campaign.

If they bring in good products at a budget-friendly price, LG stand a good chance to make a comeback in the Indian smartphone market. The company holds a good brand value in the market, and it can use it to cater to a larger audience.

LG W Series Smartphones: What To Expect?

The LG W series smartphones will strictly target the budget category to on rivals Xiaomi, Realme and Samsung Galaxy M series. Just like its South Korean counterpart Samsung, LG will bring in several W series smartphones  the budget category and will slowly move up the pyramid as they grow.

LG has a wide range of smartphones available in the country catering to the budget audience, but hardly anyone of it made to the bestselling list recently.

While the upcoming LG W series sounds promising, and they stand a good chance to bring in some effective results against the competition.

The company has always been known for its quality products. The features and specs out confirm a gradient design at the back with triple cameras.

First Triple Camera Smartphone Under Rs 10,000: LG W Series

The first LG W series smartphone is soon going to be the first device to feature a rear triple camera system. A feature missed in the category, is currently available only on Samsung Galaxy M30 under 15,000 rupees.

The Notify Me page on Amazon India confirms that the first LG W series smartphone will come with AI-enabled triple rear cameras with shooting modes as Portrait, Bokeh modes and dedicated Night Mode to enhance the low-light photography with the third wide-angle sensor capabilities.

The display size is yet to be revealed, but the page confirms that the first LG W series will sport a water drop notch on top of the display. In terms of design, the smartphone will have gradient finish at the back and will come in three “futuristic” colors.

Coming to the price the LG W series in India, the first smartphone will reportedly start at under Rs 10,000 in the country. Similar to the current budget offerings by Redmi, Realme and Samsung Galaxy M series. There will be different storage variants of a single W series model.

The LG W series smartphones will be sold at a very aggressive pricing and only via online channels only.

The company hasn’t confirmed a release date yet, but the first W series smartphone is expected to launch in India by the end of the month. The first should happen by early July.
