Airtel Digital TV, India’s one of the biggest DTH operators, have once again set a new benchmark for customer service.

Under their newest initiative, customers can now add new channels by simply giving a missed call.

Meanwhile, a special discount has been offered for buying new set-top boxes, for old and new customers.

Airtel Digital TV has also announced interesting numbers related to their subscriber growth.

Airtel Digital TV: Add New Channels By Giving Missed Call

From now on, Airtel Digital TV users can add new channels by dialing a number: 9154052###.

The last three digits of this number represent the LCN number of the channel.

Hence, if you want to add Star Sports 1 channel, then you will first need to find out the LCN number of the channel, which is 277.

Hence, you will need to give a missed call at 9154052277.

This missed call must be given from your registered phone number with Airtel Digital TV.

Rs 200 Discount On Set-Top Boxes

Airtel Digital TV set-top boxes for SD and HD connection now costs Rs 200 less.

This decision from Airtel Digital TV comes days after Tata Sky announced upto Rs 400 discount for their set-top boxes.

Airtel Digital’s special discount for set-top boxes only cover SD and HD connections. For Internet TV set-top boxes, there has been no special discount announced.

Airtel Digital TV Subscribers Increase

Meanwhile, as per fresh numbers shared by Airtel Digital TV, it has been revealed that the total number of new subscribers this quarter have increased, compared to previous quarters.

An impressive 45.7% increase has been witnessed compared to last quarter, whereas 69.7% year on year growth has been registered.

Overall, in the 3rd quarter of FY2019, Airtel Digital TV added 391,000 new users, compared to 222,000 in the 2nd quarter.

Besides this, average revenue per user or ARPU has also increased to Rs 233, which is an increase of 0.06%, quarter to quarter.

At the same time, if we compare to the same period last year, then it’s an increase of 2.2%.
