As per fresh details coming in, Realme’s latest budget flagship: Realme X will very soon launch in India, and its expected price will be Rs 18000.

This has been confirmed by none other than Madhav Sheth, who is the Realme India head.

This way, Realme X will directly compete against the likes of Redmi Note 7 Pro and Poco F1, both from the family of Xiaomi’s sub-brands and the current champions of budget niche smartphones.

Realme X was launched in China last week, and there, it has been priced at Rs 15000 (approximately) for the base variant.

Hence, in India, Realme X would be slightly costly.

Realme India Head: Realme X Price Will Be Rs 18,000

As per Madhav Sheth, Realme India Head, the price of Realme X in India will be Rs 18,000, but there is a catch.

His tweet stated: “We are planning to have an #realmeXIndian version and

pricing maybe around 18k.”

The specs for Indian version will be different, and the name too, can be altered.

Besides, there will be another new variant for Realme X, specially designed for India.

This can be another version of Realme X Lite.

Battle Lines Are Drawn: It Will Be Realme X Vs Redmi Note 7S, Redmi Note7 Pro

By declaring that the price of Realme X will be Rs 18,000, Madhav Sheth has triggered a new battle for the sub-Rs 20,000 niche smartphone market.

As of now, Redmi’s Redmi Note 7 Pro and Poco F1 are the best selling smartphones under Rs 20,000, and Realme X India edition will directly challenge them.

Besides, soon to be launched Redmi Note 7S (which is Redmi K20 Pro in China, and previously Redmi X) is also launching, and can be expected to be priced around the Rs 20,000 mark.

This way, Realme has planned to use Realme X in a very aggresive manner.
