Leaks Reveal Two New Phones Running on SD855
A new leak has revealed that there will be two new smartphones that will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. One of these phones is very similar to the first generation Poco F1, which leads us to think that the new phone is the successor, Poco F2. whether it is two other smartphones than this or just one other phone than Poco F2 is yet to be revealed. Google’s Music Streaming Platform Has Only 15 Million Subscribers
Google’s platform for music streaming is competing with Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music among others. However, the platform does not have much foothold, which is evident from the number of its subscribers, which is only 15 million. Whereas, music streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music have 100 million and 50 million paying subscribers. The company has already confirmed that it will be merging Google Play Music with Youtube Music.
Samsung Unknowingly Exposed Sensitive Data
A security researcher Mossab Hussein has revealed that sensitive data – credentials, source code, and secret keys was leaked by Samsung. Apparently, Samsung has been giving the public access to some crucial files in its development lab on GitLab. The information was not even password protected. Majority of the files that have been compromised are related to Samsung’s SmartThings and Bixby services.
Honor 20 Series to Have Holographic Design
Huawei’s sub-brand Honor is all set to launch the Honor 20 series on May 20. There will be three phones launched, Honor 20, Honor 20 Pro, and Honor 20 Lite. However, days ahead of the launch, Honor has announced that these smartphones will come with a Dynamic Holographic design and they will be the first in the industry. The Honor 20 series smartphones will have Triple 3D Mesh technology.
Google Android Successor Fuchsia OS to Focus on Cross-Platform Capabilities
Google is working on Fuchsia OS, which an operating system that will succeed Android. This OS is still in its experimental stages, but some details about the OS have been revealed now. Android chief Hiroshi Lockheimer has revealed that the Fuchsia OS will try and bring uniformity across all electronic devices, from PCs and tablets to smartphones and smart home devices.
Asus Zenfone 6 Images Leaked
Asus is planning to launch the Zenfone 6 series on May 16. However, a few days before the launch, leaks have emerged that show that the phone will have a notch-less display, and will be a slider phone. The display will have slim bezels, but a thick chin. The upper part of the slider will have front facing cameras and an external speaker. Also, the phone will come with a 3.5 mm audio jack and a USB-C port.
