OnePlus 7 Regular Model Leaked: Notched Display, Cameras, Battery, Specs, India Price & More!

While OnePlus 7 Pro has taken all the hype away, hardly anyone cared for the original OnePlus 7. The regular model of the successful OnePlus 7 series this year is getting the least of attention, and even the specs somehow are not interesting.

The smartphone has now been leaked ahead of launch, revealing some key details including price.

Already a few experts predicted that OnePlus is going to carry the same old design for the regular OnePlus 7 with a few minor upgrades. The company is now focusing on the premium segment to take on the best flagships in the market with its Pro model.

Keeping the OnePlus 7 Pro out this time, let’s check out what’s there in the regular OnePlus 7.

OnePlus 7 Design Leaked: The Same Notched Display Stays

Many fans expected the notch-less design to be a part of the next OnePlus 7 series, but it’s going to be the pro model only. The regular OnePlus 7 isn’t getting any design upgrade. The leaked renders reveal a design very similar to its predecessor.

The smartphone will come with the same OnePlus 6T design with a water drop notch display and an in-display fingerprint sensor embedded inside the screen.

The front looks exactly identical to the current company’s flagship offering, OnePlus 6T.

As an addition, OnePlus 7 may come with stereo speakers this time. The earpiece grille looks a little wider than the one on OnePlus 6T on the leaked renders. At the back, again the same design surfaces with a dual rear camera setup including an LED flash.

OnePlus 7 Complete Specs: Display, Cameras, Hardware, Battery & More

OnePlus 7 will come with a 6.4-inch Full HD+ notched display. With the same design on the out, the smartphone will run on Snapdragon 855, the current best chip from Qualcomm, built on a 7nm architecture. The smartphone will come with three different storage models starting with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The system will run on the latest Android 9 Pie with Oxygen OS on top. OnePlus 7 series will also get priority access to the next generation Android Q UI.

Coming to optics, the OnePlus handset will pack in dual cameras at the back. The two-camera setup will include a 48-megapixel primary sensor, the Sony IMX 586 lens with an f/1.7 aperture and a 5-megapixel depth sensor.

OnePlus 7 will come with a larger battery this time. The smartphone is said to be packing a 4,000mAh unit under the hood backed by it’s newly improved 30W Warp fast charging facility.

OnePlus 7 India Price: Will It Cost More Than OnePlus 6T?

Given the set of specs and just a few minor upgrades, the smartphone doesn’t seem to be getting costly in India. While the official prices are yet to be revealed, but the leaks hint at a similar pricing range as OnePlus 6T, starting at Rs 37,999 for the base model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.

The regular OnePlus 7 variants shouldn’t cost more than the current OnePlus 6T models in India.

OnePlus 7 Pro is said to be priced at Rs 49,999 for the base model, and the regular model is definitely going to be a lot cheaper, probably the same as OnePlus 6T.

Both the OnePlus 7 devices go official on May 14 including India. The smartphones will be available exclusively via Amazon in India.
