Central Board of Secondary Education or CBSE has just announced the results for Class 12th students. This announcement was widely anticipated, and eagerly awaited by students and parents, all across the nation.

CBSE is controlled by Govt of India, and follows NCERT curriculum. More than 19,000 schools in India and 211 schools across 28 nations are directly affiliated with CBSE.

Here are 7 interesting facts about CBSE Class XII 2019 Results:

  • Overall pass percentage is 83.4%, which is better than last year, when 83.01% passed the exam.
  • Maximum students from Trivandrum have passed the exam: 98.2% of all students are passed.
  • Chennai and Delhi are at #2 and #3 positions in terms of passing percentage
  • Total of 12,05,484 students appeared for the exams, out of which 10,05,427 passed
  • Two students have topped the exam, as they scored 499 marks. They are Hansika Shukla of DPS Meerut road Ghaziabad and Karishma Arora of SD Public school, Muzaffarnagar,
  • Three students are at #2 position jointly, as they scored 498 marks each. They are: Gaurangi Chawla of the Nirmal Ashram school Rishikesh, Aishwarya of the KV Rai Bareilly and Bhavya BR of the SK International Public School, Jind, Haryana.
  • With 497 marks, total of 18 students are at #3 position. Out of these, 11 are girls.
  • Overall, students who scored 95%: 17,693;  Students who scored between 90-95 %: 94,299
  • With 98.54% passing students, Kendriya Vidyalayas tops the list of schools with pass percentage

Step 1: Open cbse.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in

Step 2: Click: Download Result (link)

Step 3: Enter Registration Number, Roll Number

Step 4: Result will instantly appear on the screen

Step 5: You can download it, or take a print out

Note: Microsoft has partnered with CBSE for showing results, via SMS Organiser App. Parents and students who have registered their respective roll numbers on this app can check the results without even using the Internet. This app can be downloaded from Google Playstore.
