From OnePlus 7 Pro to Xiaomi Mi A3 to Realme U2 to Asus Zenfone 6Z, it’s going to be one of the busiest months for new smartphones. Most of them have been confirmed, and a few dates are yet to be announced.

OnePlus 7 & OnePlus 7 Pro

OnePlus will be unveiling its much-anticipated OnePlus 7 series on May 14. The upcoming series will comprise of two smartphones: OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro. The new addition being the Pro variant, it will come with a super smooth curved display offering a higher 90Hz refresh rate, rear triple cameras and 5G support. Both the OnePlus 7 smartphones will launch in India on the same day at an event in Bangalore.

Xiaomi Mi A3

Xiaomi India has confirmed that the company will launch a new smartphone next month running on the latest Snapdragon 700-series chip. Expected to be a Xiaomi Mi 9X rip-off running on Android One, the smartphone may come with three rear cameras and in-display fingerprint sensor. The company is yet to confirm the launch, but Mi A3 is expected to debut in May in India.

Asus Zenfone 6Z

Taiwanese tech giant Asus will soon launch its much-awaited Zenfone 6 series in May. The new series will comprise of multiple handsets including Zenfone 6Z. In India, Asus Zenfone 6Z is expected to hit the markets by the end of May or later. The smartphone will launch on May 16 at Valencia, Spain. Zenfone 6Z has already been leaked with a slider body, Snapdragon 855 chip, rear triple cameras, 4,000mAh battery and more.

Redmi 7A

Xiaomi unveiled Redmi 7 in India this week alongside Redmi Y3. The company is now expected to launch the toned-down version of Redmi 7 in the country, the Redmi 6A successor. Previously, Redmi 4A, Redmi 5A and Redmi 6A have been very successful in the entry-level segment. The upcoming Redmi 7A will also come with standard features and specs priced similarly in the same range.

Google Pixel 3A

After a longer than expected wait, finally, Google will launch the budget Pixel in May this year. After being in the news for over a year, Google will finally unveil its very-first budget smartphones: Pixel 3A and Pixel 3A XL. The smartphones will run on Snapdragon 670, clean stock Android 9 Pie with Android Q beta version priority access, 18:9 widescreen display and a 3,400mAh battery.

Realme U2

After Realme 3 Pro and Realme C2, the company is now all set to unveil its next device in May. The second Realme U series smartphone is expected to be unveiled next month in India. Already there have been rumours about the Realme U2, but the launch seems to imminent now. Being a selfie-centric series, the next Realme U device too will focus on a great selfie camera directly targeting the recently launched Redmi Y3. The company is yet to confirm any detail about Realme U2.

Nokia 8.1 Plus

The much-touted Nokia X71 has been making news for a few months now. The smartphone is expected to hit the Indian market next month as Nokia 8.1 Plus. The company is yet to announce the launch, but Nokia 8.1 Plus is expected to be unveiled in May end. The smartphone will come with a punch-hole display housing the front camera, glass sandwich body, Snapdragon 660 chip with 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, Android One and a 3,500mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy M40

The rumoured Galaxy M40 smartphone is expected to go official in May in India. The speculated budget flagship from Samsung is said to take on newly launched stalwarts Redmi Note 7 Pro and Realme 3 Pro. The company is yet to confirm the Galaxy M40 smartphone, but the leaked details hint at another stellar budget smartphone as Galaxy M30. The company is already doing well in the segment with its latest M and A series of smartphones.
