Xiaomi Sells One million Redmi Devices in One Month

Xiaomi recently launched its new devices, Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro, and the smartphone company has managed to sell no less than one million units in India alone. Globally, four million phones have been sold, and that too in only a month. There are many more interested buyers in India and the company has promised ‘many more millions’ are to come and has already speeded up the production.

Amazon Employees Record and Listen to Alexa Conversations

Voice recordings are obtained from Amazon Echo and a team of employees at Amazon is hired to listen to all of them. Apparently, the recordings are used to improve the overall quality of Amazon Alexa. These recordings are transcribed, annotated and fed back to the software. Google and Apple have been in the practise of listening in to voice assistants for improving and updating its quality and performance.

Google to Introduce Ads into Google Maps

It has been 14 years since Google launched Maps and it has been free of ads ever since. However, that is about to change as the major search engine is planning to introduce ads into the navigating platform. This will help Google earn money off of the app. A list of sponsored locations and paid listings will appear when a user will try to seach for his desired destination.

TikTok App Ban Would Harm Free Speech

TikTok has been banned in India, however China’s Bytedance Technology, which is the parent company of the popular video making and sharing app has defended the app against the app. Bytedance has asked the Supreme Court not to ban the app as it will hurt free speech rights in India. TikTok is a largely popular app where users record short clips and share them on social networking platforms. However, a ban has been initiated against the app throughout India.

Samsung Galaxy A2 Core To Launch in India Soon

Samsung’s Galaxy A2 Core is to be launched in India soon at the price of Rs. 5290. It will be powered by 1.6GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos 7870 processor and Android Go. The phone will have 1 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM which can be expanded. The phone has a 5 inch display, and a 5 MP primary camera and a 5 MP front camera too.

Realme 3 Pro Images and Specs Leaked

Realme’s CEO Madhav Sheth released live images of the upcoming Realme 3 Pro, which is competing against the Redmi Note 7 Pro. The phone, unlike its Redmi competitor, will support Fortnite out of the box. It will also have Snapdragon 710 and its camera is the same as that of OnePlus 6T. Read the details of the leak here!
